Hotel Palazzo Stern

Die Anreise war schon super organisiert, da das Hotel einen Fahrer anbietet (60,-€) bis zum Abholsteg und dann per hauseigenem Boot direkt ans Hotel. Ein toller Empfang und tolles Zimmer. Das komplette Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Von dort aus kann man so ziemlich alles via ZUFUß erreichen. Unbedingt auch einen Nachtspaziergang einplanen , ein echter Traum aus einem Mix von quirligem Leben und dann wieder herrliche Stille. Die Lage des Hotels ist echt ein Traum und wir hatten das große Glück die Faschings Regatta sehen zu können , direkt vom hoteleigenen Restaurantgarten aus. Diesen sollte man auch Abends für ein Gläschen nutzen. Sabina, Jordi und Gabrielle helfen einem egal bei was, danke dafür , und eine spezielle Perle ist Loredana die sich um das abendliche Wohl an der hauseigenen Bar und im Restaurant kümmert. Also, vielen lieben Dank, das war wirklich jeden Euro wert !!!

This hotel has been on my bucket list for years and it did not disappoint. Everything about it is so well thought out. The location right on the Grand Canal, adjacent to the Ca Rezzonica vaparetto stop is ideal yet it is a very quiet spot and the wonderful terrace feels so private. I slept so well each night in lovely crisp linens. Service is so calm and discrete from the check in desk to the breakfast staff and the room cleaners. They all spoke English and were so helpful. This is not a big corporate hotel where people fall over themselves to address you by name and greet you out loud everything they see you. The hotel grew on me more and more as the days went by and even though we did so much everyday I felt so rested going home. It is a really relaxing haven especially sitting out on the heavenly terrace in the mornings and it certainly lived up to my expectations.

Booked for our anniversary and it did not disapoint, the hotel was amazing. The rooms are superb, clean, very comfortable. The staff were nothing short of brilliant and very helpful. The decor and interior is traditional Venetian. The location on the grand canal means the views from the terrace are stunning, 15 minutes walk to St Marks square with plenty of bars, restarunts within short walking distance. It was my birthday during our stay and the hotel staff made the day special. We would highly recommend and would return without hesitation.

We stayed at the Palazzo Stern this weekend and it was unbelievable. Me and my wife went for her birthday and from the moment of booking, exchanging emails to the moment we left the staff could not do anymore for us. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else

Location, location, location-without doubt this hotel's key benefit. This beautiful boutique hotel is situated within the epicentre of some of the most interesting sites in Venice yet remains relatively private and peaceful at night. The hotel is cited relatively close to a public water bus service stop but after flying in from the UK at night we had chosen to via the hotel to pre-book a car taxi from from Marco Polo airport then private water taxi onto the hotel which was the most reliable, quicker and appealing way to travel for two new visitors to Venice if a more expensive option than the public water bus. The interior of the hotel was a mix of orginal historic classic and sympathetic restoration. The hotel management upon arrival were very hospitable and professional. All spoke good English and we were shown to our Junior Suite situated at the front hotel with a wonderful view of the Grand Canal. The room was spacious but was furnished with twin beds not a double. The bathroom was again spacious, ornate and clean. We didn't spend much time in our room so a couple of problems with the TV and coffee maker didn't detract from an otherwise pleasant environment. Regrettably my wife had poor soft mattress on her bed but otherwise everything was fine. The food and drink especially at breakfast was very good however do try and eat at a table on the outside terrace which faces the Grand Canal. Even in mid-March, the weather was fine and dry and the sun cast wonderful shadows and colours on the surrounding facades. The staff were perfectly happy to bring the food outside and were again very polite and attentive. The interior of the restaurant was a little stark but perfectly fuctional if the weather was not so kind. The hotel was perfectly lcoated for the usual attractions such as the Rialto Bridge or St Marks Square both of which were a short 10-15 minutes walk away, but the joy was straying off the beaten path and getting lost in the myriad of lanes and alley ways close by. We attended a Vivaldi concert and Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition without pre-booking but would highly recommend pre-booking for the Venice Jazz Club which was located only 200m from our hotel. The Saturday night Quartet performance was world class and this intimate and reasonably priced venue (by Venice standards) made this a must see attraction for music lovers. In summary, I'd highly recommend the Hotel Palazzon Stern, no doubt there are cheaper or more luxurious places to stay but for location, service, quality and value for money, its hard to beat and welook forward to a return trip soon.

The people at the hotel (staff) were friendly and super helpful. It gave us peace of mind to know they were available to help us navigate in an area where we did not speak the language or have specific plans. They even had a breakfast box ready for us when we had to leave at 3am!

Clients connus de l'hôtel santa chiara, nous nous sommes vu proposé à prix constant, en substitution de celui-ci, pour notre nouveau séjour fin janvier 2023, l'expérience du transfert en bateau taxi et logement au palazzo stern pour la durée des 4 jours, avec vue sur le Grand Canal. Aucun doute, le charme a fonctionné, état irréprochable, quasi un musée par son architecture et tous les objets qu'il contient, dont fresques remarquables et éclairage avec lampes FORTUNY. Côté accès, on ne peut plus simple puisque arrêt vaporetto ligne 1 à 10m de l'entrée de l'hôtel et rue reliant à pied à l'Academia en 5mn, accès dans un rayon de 10mn à pied à tout le quartier dorsoduro. La ligne 1, permettant de se déplacer partout dans un temps très court. Aucune critique objective à formuler, si ce n'est que la vue du Grand Canal s'accompagne du bruit des vaporetto quand le silence de la nuit s'établit. La fatigue aidant, aucune gêne pour nous. Nous venons depuis bientôt 15 ans et au moins 1 fois par an à Venise, il n'y a aucun doute que c'est le plus beau séjour que nous ayons fait. Je ne connais rien de mieux pour qui veut découvrir Venise dans le luxe d'un palais en état irréprochable,et au centre de la ville avec le charme du Grand Canal. Merci à l'équipe de nous avoir conduit à cette découverte. Nous reviendrons évidement!!

The entire A to Z experience was remarkable. We were in desperate need of some down time and even though we only stayed for a couple of days, it was a spectacular visit, the friendliest and most helpful staff. God willing, we will be back and look forward to our next visit.

Wow what a place! Old world charm and great location combined. Tougher walk then expected with luggage from th bus station but we got there. Room was just what we wanted/needed. Location was close to all the sites. They offered a free boat to Murano but it involves. Required factory tour— we did it and had no complaints as the boat ride was amazing! Check in was easy and the staff was very accommodating!
