Hotel Dravidar

We were booked only for one night but our stay was really the beat! Hotel room was clean and location was at the velankanni shrine itself. Reception desk also were very helpful and the restaurant at the hotel for breakfast lunch or dinner , food was just great and reasonably priced. We plan to always book this hotel in the near future. The hotel is good the staffs are friendly and kind we did not have any issues with communication with the language as each and everyone in the staff understands English. Only draw back is with the housekeeping you would have to call the reception to get the room cleaned instead of them coming rest it's a perfect place to stay be it family or with friends or couple. I would recommend this hotel as it's also close to the church.

Good service by Mr.Veeran and his team,location very close to the Chruch.Very well maintained property. Will definitely stay when we visit again to vailankanni.It will be nice,if they add breakfast ***** with the room packages.

Friends had recommended this place post their visit.I went on a pilgrimage to Vailankanni with my mom . We booked an A/C room. The location of the hotel is very close to the Basilica you can see, plus hear the masses and prayers going on . The hotel room was well kept for the three days we spent . The restaurant on the premises served tasty food was economical and hygienic as well. The ***agement and staff were very cooperative and polite even though the language was a bit of a barrier. Very happy with the comfortable and lovely stay we had and would who***eartedly recommend Hotel Dravidar. Leon was most helpful at the front desk . He arranged a car for us to Pondicherry too . I look forward to staying at Hotel Dravidar, on my next visit to Vailankanni.

The hotel was great. Our 7th visit. We keep coming every year however recently service has gone down. We asked to get our TV fixed and locker fixed and until the time we left they never did anything. When we complained to the owner only then did they get it sorted for us which was too late as we were leaving by then. Rates have gone up but breakfast vouchers have been removed, which was something we had prior. On the whole it was ok but overall the service has dropped. Hope they will do something about it as we hope to return in the future.

I've stayed here a couple of times in the last 5 months and love the property. Firstly the location is excellent just opposite the church, then the rooms expecially the luxury AC rooms, then the restaurant on the ground floor. Over and above all this is the service provided by Leon at the reception, he is always helpful and smiling. Leon makes sure all requests are taken care off and is always providing EXCELLENT customer service. Thank you Leon and Hotel Dravidar for always providing the BEST service and rooms.

= I and my wife stayed with Dravidar hotel from 24th Jan 2023 - 25th Jan 2023 and went to eat in-house restaurant, server Mr. Jaishankar was humble polite and corteous. He explained us the south Indian dishes and suggested certain dishes for us which was up to her and my liking. - The staff in the hotel are helpful and willing to assist whenever assistance is required. - The hotel amenities need to be maintained. Hygiene and cleanliness with regards to bedsheets, fridge and furniture needs to be upkept to maintain hotel standards. - Basic hygiene such as clean bedsheets, towels and cleaning of room needs to be there and staff must be trained for the same. - During my stay with the hotel , the Basic cleanliness and hygiene wasn't found. Bedsheets had food stains, the fridge in room was giving out foul smell and towels were dark in color however it was rectified immediately once it was informed to the hotel staff.
