This is a Marriott hotel and the first one we stayed in during our Spain visit. This was an expensive hotel but we still had to pay for everything - using the bikes, breakfast (which was just ok and expensive), water in the room (if you ran out of the small ones they gave you). Compared to the other properties we stayed at all of these things were free. I would probably not stay in a Marriott again in Europe if I have different options. Also we got a bottle of cava in all of the other hotels we booked through ******* (even though we didn’t drink it) except for this hotel. The bedding was the best at this hotel.
Also the room was loud. We were in a room under the rooftop terrace and we could hear furniture being moved around at all times of the day.
We requested and paid more for a city view room and there was no city view in any of the rooms. The first room offered was on the first floor and faced out to the trash can s and bus lanes. So we ended up with an interior facing room which was quiet and much better. The room was nice.
Overall a very average experience and not comparable to the other Spainish hotels we stayed in. Marriott needs to look at their competition!
