Montaneros in Vail

Having stayed at Montaneros in Vail for a ski trip, I am impressed with the amenities. But your mileage will vary with the condo you stay in. The Good Facilities: Montaneros gets a gold star for its amenities. The hot tub, pool, and sauna are outstanding and super relaxing. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes. Service: The staff here can only be described as wonderful. The front desk personnel were cordial and attentive, and the daily housekeeping service was top-notch. The overall amicable service certainly helped make our stay more enjoyable. Storage: As skiers, we appreciated the available ski and boot storage. They had ski racks and boot driers. Location: Nestled close to the Lions Head gondola, Montaneros boasts an excellent location. Room for Improvement While Montaneros shines on various fronts, there are a couple of aspects that didn't quite meet our expectations. Rooms: It seems luck also plays a part in choosing a room here. Given that these are individually owned condos, the décor and beds vary. Some may be a home run with your tastes, while others, not so much. Beds and Decor: It's important to note that their décor entirely depends on the condo owner's style and their commitment to upkeep. Our first room had an uncomfortable, lumpy bed. However, the issue was promptly addressed, and we were moved to another unit. The replacement room had better beds but an eccentric Native American theme that may not resonate with everyone's taste. Aside from these minor issues, Montaneros still manages to provide a comfortable and friendly environment. It's a lovely place, but bear in mind, your experience with the rooms may vary.

Great location- short walk to the gondola and close to restaurants and shops. The ski storage was great with the complimentary popcorn, hot chocolate and overnight boot dryers! The parking was easy to find and easy to get to your condo. Staff was friendly and Housekeeping was great!

Perfect 6 night stay in unit 218! We loved the beautiful, very cozy yet spacious condo with gorgeous views of the Lionshead slopes. We loved the full kitchen and very nice bathrooms. The Lionshead gondola was a very short walk from the condo. The ski room was very spacious and great for getting ready each day. Loved that we got Hyatt points for our stay. Special “THANK YOU!” to the manager Kent who was incredibly helpful. Great location next to one of our the Lionshead shuttle stops. Thank you, Kent and the team at Montaneros who were all wonderful!

So incredibly happy with our choice to stay at Montaneros in Vail. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. It is a great location, with shops, restaurants, Eagle Bahn Gondola, and ice skating right outside your door. The shuttle stop is also right in front of the condos, which made commuting from village to village very seamless and easy! For our condo itself - we stayed in M304 - it was absolutely beautiful! Very clean and well equipped.

Our stay at Montaneros in Vail was excellent. The location is perfect for shops, restaurants, gondolas and skiing. The property is clean. The apartment was amazing, very spacious and well equipped with everything you might need. The front desk personnel was knowledgeable and had great customer service. Jeff helped me with all our needs in a very nice demeanor.

Very nice and clean facility, however, during opening week office hours were limited from 9am to 5pm. If you arrive after 5pm to check in, be sure to call the after hours number to access your room keys.

Nice condo close to everything. In town bus stop to go to Vail Village was right outside our door. Great pool and hot tub. Nice big kitchen, warm fireplace and the sheets on the bed were amazing. Walk to everything in seconds in Lionshead.

We stayed at Montaneros for a quick, quiet off-season getaway. My kids loved the heated pool, and enough shops and restaurants were open so it didn’t feel completely off-season. Not sure what it’s like during ski season, but a very pleasant fall location

Kudos to Kent and the team at Montaneros for a great trip. The well stocked condo was the perfect location for a quick fall trip. The location is easy access to the free shuttle but to Vail Village and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
