If you want to truly experience Trieste in the right location and with style then this is the place. A small perfectly built Palace run by staff who care about their guests. There is absolutely everything you need here. I arrived late at night and when I walked out onto the breakfast room the following room found myself saying wow at the view on the stunning Piazza. I choose this hotel because I had always wanted to stay there in Trieste, I did return for a second stay and I would stay there again. You are close to the sea, the historical centre, numerous bars and restaurants, shopping and tourist hotspots. The rooms are lovely, majestically clean. Breakfast are a relaxing experience you do not want to hurry because why would you with that view around you. The bar is the place to be throughout the day and also acts as an informal restaurant throughout the day. Formal is also available but that was not my choice. Rooms were large comfortable and very clean with the best amenities provided. Book your stay, you know you want to!

The location of the property is excellent, 2 minutes from the train station and 10 minutes from the city center! The rooms are not up-to-date, but dignified and with the minimum comforts satisfied. The only flaw, in my opinion, is the mattress which I personally found a bit too low and soft (subjective consideration)! Reception staff very courteous and helpful! We will definitely be back 😁👌

We liked the hotel a lot, it is a hotel with few rooms, the classic one is fair in size, but everything is very clean and decorated with great taste, very classic, the bathroom was small, it had a shower, but it had everything and everything was in perfect condition condition. At breakfast, we did not know that the hot dishes had to be ordered, it was not indicated and they did not offer it to us either, but seeing other customers order it, we also did it, except that, everything was very correct and the attention of the employees also.

Nice 3 stars hotel in the center of Trieste. Staff were not particularly friendly but they were extremely professional. Breakfast was great and the man in charge of the breakfast room was very friendly. Room and shower somehow small. For a short stay this is a great place.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was substantial with plenty of choices available. During the day the breakfast room also serves as the hotel guest lounge. There are complimentary pastries, tea and a coffee machine available here for hotel guests throughout the day. It is a relaxing place to sit and refresh. The hotel staff are friendly, polite and helpful. In front of the hotel is a small shop where you can buy a 24 hour bus ticket for three euros. Many of the local sites are accessible using public transport. There are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel. It is a five minute walk to the the old town.

Certo un alloggio un po' 'freddo'. Non c'è reception e non si comunica con nessuno, il check funziona in automatico con codice che ti consegnano via email. Gli appartamenti sono bene o male tutti uguali, con cucina (molto utile se si sta + giorni) e alcuni con una stanzetta con divanetto oltre alla camera matrimoniale. Bagno bello, doccia grande, ottima pulizia. In pieno centro.

In short: best place to stay in central Triëst. Atmospheric building, comfortable and well-equipped appartments (home cooking), professional staff. We checked in late in a weekend, so (due to covid-restrictions) no staff at reception - but information by sms and e-mail how to check in (and park our car) was easy and complete. Had a great stay, wishing we could have stayed for a week or so.

We had some issues getting to the hotel due to the very slow passport control at Trieste airport and so turned up about 12:30 in the morning. Once we found the hotel we rang the bell several times and did not notice the sign stating that if closed go to the Intercontinental on the other side of the pedestrian area. The receptionist came across and guided us to the other hotel where we booked in and then he came across, showed us the key to get in and up to the lift where we went up to our suite. The suite was a good size with a microwave, fridge, kettle, pots and pans etc. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and the room was quiet so we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast is in the other hotels' restaurant but it is less than a minute to walk across to it. Breakfast choice was not great - you have to choose your breakfast from a menu and it would have been better to have a buffet type. The hotel was quite expansive and I did not feel that it was worth the cost.

We chose this hotel for the location close to the city centre (everything within comfortable walking distance) and were delighted to find it exceeded our expectations. The staff were charming and helpful, the rooms small and simply furnished but comfortable and spotlessly clean. Excellent buffet breakfast with very good coffee and tempting pastries. We will definitely return, this time by car as there is private parking.

What really set this hotel apart was its terrific staff, who was helpful and made the experience as smooth and easy as possible. I left my luggage early, before check in, and they moved it to my room for me. Very good, reasonably priced restaurant recommendations, helpful staff with everything. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a week in June for a friend’s wedding nearby. Great location on the sea front. The location is a few miles outside of Trieste so a taxi is needed to and from the city. Better to have a hire car: the hotel has plenty of parking. The breakfast is well managed and a great choice of delicious food served in the lovely restaurant. We had dinner there once; the food was good. Our room had a balcony with great views, though there is often a lot of traffic and noise from cars and motorcycles. But lovely sea views. The room service and cleaning was quick, unobtrusive and immaculate every time, so a big thank you to housekeeping. Reception team are stars. They coped well with everything we asked (in English as we hardly speak any Italian) and were super helpful, even recovering my mobile phone which I stupidly left in a taxi. Also, every morning the reception and dining room team welcomed us with smiles and greetings. A great hotel, I’d be happy to recommend and to stay here again.

We found this cosy hotel well priced and oh so quiet and certainly a 5 star rating for the price. All the staff spoke excellent English and were unfailingly courteous. There’s a lift that helps if you have heavy luggage to manage. I think we paid around £80 a night for two and their help yourself breakfast came in at less than a fiver each. Brekky was ace - great coffee, juices, hams and cheeses, 3/4 varieties of jams, croissants, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts and I’m sure I’ve left stuff out. The bedroom was well furnished, the shower could get to super hot and the entire place was spic & span clean. It’s pretty central and a 5 or so minute walk to the James Joyce statue in one direction and about the same the other way to the main Trieste train station. But now I must note my gratitude to the folks who work here. This was 5 star priceless. I arrived here weak and ill, discharged from a local Trieste hospital after 40 hours, having been food poisoned on an MSC cruise ship and dispatched from their ship hospital (where I was very well treated) to the hospital. My wife on the other hand was left by MSC to struggle on the dockside as the Armonia sailed away, just as the sun set, with most of our luggage still aboard. That’s a whole other story and we did re - board ship a week later in Venice. The only reason the ship docked in Trieste was high winds in Venice. On early morning arrival here from hospital to check-in we were offered cappuccinos and pastries while our room was prepared and it turned out these were complimentary. They knew we were coming and that I’d been hospitalised. Thereafter they helped us beyond our ability in words to thank them for all their kindnesses. I mean if Italy has an honours system for those who help others these gentle people deserve to be top of the list. One day I needed a doctor to get a fit to travel certificate and the young man at reception put in 14 phone calls for me including waiting on call backs. Over an hour later he achieved what I needed - just pause to think about this - over an hour and he dealt with other calls and guests too. What he did we simply could not have achieved by ourselves. My wife and I were just stunned at this humanity which came with a smile. Then he announced he needed a coffee and promptly proceeded to make all three of us cappuccinos offering fruit and pastries again all on the house. They translated for us, including medical papers, organised many taxi rides including one to Venice and could not have done more. So we can’t recommend here strongly enough. We truly were in great need and they delivered 100% and y’know we’ll never forget the humanity and all we could do was say thank you and we said it a lot.

Per chiarezza, suddivido la mia valutazione in due parti. PUNTI di FORZA - L'hotel è un ottimo 4 stelle se parliamo di colazione. Semplicemente splendida, qualità eccelsa del buffet e location (saletta della colazione) curatissima e che profuma di pulito, così come tutta la hall. - Personale molto cortese che trattiene i bagagli prima e dopo il check-in/out e che fornisce tutte le indicazioni di cui un turista necessita. - E' possibile parcheggiare gratuitamente lungo la strada: i parcheggi sono molti e vicinissimi all'albergo (abbiamo parcheggiato di fronte al cancello). PUNTI di DEBOLEZZA - La struttura è ubicata ad una buona ventina di minuti a piedi in discesa (o in salita) dal centro cittadino e fin qui nulla di negativo se si amano le zone meno centrali e meno affollate. Tuttavia, per noi la zona non è affatto risultata tranquilla: di notte, pur con finestre quasi chiuse, abbiamo avvertito un frequente via vai di auto, a tratti anche davvero fastidioso, dato che la camera dava sul lato stradale. - La nostra stanza, purtroppo, non è stata affatto all'altezza di un 4 stelle. Non era molto spaziosa, non disponeva di balcone, l'aria condizionata sembrava non raffreddare l'ambiente (soffiava aria non rinfrescata, nonostante il telecomando fosse regolato correttamente) e il frigobar era scarsamente rifornito (abbiamo trovato le crostatine in stile Mulino Bianco...). Per non parlare poi della porta con serratura difettosa (rimaneva appoggiata, chiusa, ma pur sempre parecchio ”traballante” se si spingeva) e del bagno con calorifero un po' arrugginito, stipite della porta marcio nella parte che tocca la piastrella, di fianco alla doccia, e muro macchiato (sia in bagno che di fianco al letto)... oltretutto, la doccia era veramente molto stretta. - Infine, nota un po' più dolente, abbiamo fatto presente quanto scritto sopra alla reception, ma non è stato proposto né un cambio camera, né un eventuale sconto per il disguido... insomma, non si tratta di un comportamento da hotel 4 stelle... Ci ritorneremmo a patto di qualche intervento migliorativo...

What really set this hotel apart was its terrific staff, who was helpful and made the experience as smooth and easy as possible. If you want to truly experience Trieste in the right location and with style then this is the place. A small perfectly built Palace run by staff who care about their guests. There is absolutely everything you need here. I arrived late at night and when I walked out onto the breakfast room the following room found myself saying wow at the view on the stunning Piazza. I choose this hotel because I had always wanted to stay there in Trieste, I did return for a second stay and I would stay there again. You are close to the sea, the historical centre, numerous bars and restaurants, shopping and tourist hotspots. The rooms are lovely, majestically clean. Breakfast are a relaxing experience you do not want to hurry because why would you with that view around you. The bar is the place to be throughout the day and also acts as an informal restaurant throughout the day. Formal is also available but that was not my choice. Rooms were large comfortable and very clean with the best amenities provided. Book your stay, you know you want to!

Had been for a 4 days family-trip in Trieste and stayed in Hotel Centrale. We enjoyed it very much! The hotel is perfect located in the center at the end of Canale Grande with a 24h reception. I only know Stefano by name but everyone of the crew without any exception was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was served to our table and was rich. The rooms were modern furnished and very clean. Altogether Hotel Centrale is a very recommendable accommodation for a city-trip.

We stayed here for a week in June for a friend’s wedding nearby. Great location on the sea front. The location is a few miles outside of Trieste so a taxi is needed to and from the city. Better to have a hire car: the hotel has plenty of parking. The breakfast is well managed and a great choice of delicious food served in the lovely restaurant. We had dinner there once; the food was good. Our room had a balcony with great views, though there is often a lot of traffic and noise from cars and motorcycles. But lovely sea views. The room service and cleaning was quick, unobtrusive and immaculate every time, so a big thank you to housekeeping. Reception team are stars. They coped well with everything we asked (in English as we hardly speak any Italian) and were super helpful, even recovering my mobile phone which I stupidly left in a taxi. Also, every morning the reception and dining room team welcomed us with smiles and greetings. A great hotel, I’d be happy to recommend and to stay here again.

We liked the hotel a lot, it is a hotel with few rooms, the classic one is fair in size, but everything is very clean and decorated with great taste, very classic, the bathroom was small, it had a shower, but it had everything and everything was in perfect condition condition. At breakfast, we did not know that the hot dishes had to be ordered, it was not indicated and they did not offer it to us either, but seeing other customers order it, we also did it, except that, everything was very correct and the attention of the employees also.
