Blue Sea Hotel

Booked this as a couple week away and from the moment we arrived I knew it wasn't quite the pleasant oasis that had been described. It might have been the hordes of drunk lads on the road outside or the group drinking alcohol and smoking that set the tone. On entry the layout is typical Blue Sea style all white and beige, air-conditioned with pleasant staff. 9th floor. 2 lifts which had seen better days and slow but the doors tried to decapitate you if you did not get in quickly. Tucked in a rabbit warren style layout on the farthest corner. No map or floor plan. Get in and there is no fridge or kettle. I know it was after midnight and just happy to sleep. Turns out fridges kettle coffee machine all extra. Food at breakfast was typically a mix of European and bacon and eggs. Could have been hot. That may have helped. Half board so evening meal - initially rota for a 9.30pm evening meal. I explained not suitable so moved to 7.30. Restaurant was clean and functional but the overwhelming smell of fish everyday was awful. Made worse as I am seriously allergic to fish. Dinner was limited to salad chips and bread rolls for me. Some of the staff didn't know if there was fish etc in the dishes or prepped all together. Also not even water was free. Most of the days and night was a cacophony of noise not the general chatter etc but groups of marauding eu teens predominately male chanting/shouting. They would barge the queues, chase each other around shouting and screaming all day and most of the night. The last 5 nights of a 7 night stay was a mix of screaming underage unaccompanied people chasing each other up the hall, shouting from the balcony at 2am for which I opened my balcony door and asked them to quiet down. I called security at 4.30 on the worst night. This hotel is not adults only! There were mainly groups of teen young people in gangs. If you like this, happy to listen to thrash metal or euro dance music at 4am then this may be the holiday for you. If you are after a grown up getaway then avoid at all costs Only saving grace was the staff who were lovely

A good hotel Staff were kind Breakfast good The site is near to sea Area is calm not noisy But the rooms are small. Not far from the center of trabzone. Around the hotel you can find many restaurants and grocery
