They are not children friendly at all! We are a family with 2 small kids and because someone told us that the restaurant is good we booked a table to lunch there. But when we arrived a worker told us that kids are not welkome and that we couldn't eat there...

This place is just magical. Excellent people, great Spa and incredible food and drinks. All local and in coop with everyone from along the Mosel river. Was here right for the start of winter season - the first“Wein“nachtsmarkt weekend and this just turns the whole place into something even more beautiful.

We stayed in the hotel during a week while visiting the Mosel region. Everything was very good - the ideal place on the river, the very friendly and helpful staff, the SPA, the breakfasts and especially the dinners. Highly recommended!

My wife and I really enjoyed the hotel. The surroundings of Traben-Trarbach (Moezel) and the river The Moezel is wonderfull. The rooms are nice and clean, including coffee machine, electric kettle and refrigerator, the beds are very good (we bought the pillows). Breakfast is very good, dinner is very decent (you always book this hotel full pension). Swimming pool is beautiful, with free snacks in the afternoon, the wellness area and sauna are exceptional. The parking garage under the hotel is very nice with the possibility to charge an EV (which I did). A real 5-star accomodation and service by the staff with a few buts: after 21.00 h the restarant is closed and the hotel does not have a bar or any activities at night, the swimming pool and wellness area is closed from 20.00 h, so after dinner/at night there is really nothing to do in the hotel and the only thing left is to go to a bar in the village of Traben-Trarbach or watch tv in the room but .... only German tv channels. My rating for this hotel is 8.5/10, but it could (easily) become a 9.5/10

Stayed here on a midweek wellness package which included all meals and 2 trea**ents. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area of the Mosel valley and has parking which is easy to access. Great rooms and a spacious spa. We enjoyed and massage and facial which were top quality and the spa is definitely top end in every way. A lovely indoor/outdoor pool and sauna steam room etc to enjoy at leisure. Breakfasts we excellent as was the food in the evening in the restaurant. This was great value for money compared with say a UK spa hotel break and this hotel is certainly recommended if you want a base in the heart of this beautiful region.

A nice last minute discovery for a short trip. Loved the location, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was nice but the lack of A/C which we were aware of beforehand, really made for some very hot nights during a mini heatwave. Restaurant is very good, food top but portions could be bigger. We ate on the terrace a couple of times but the wasps were a real nuisance, something to be aware of in summer. Service at times could be a little quicker, time in between courses varied and sometimes it took just too long, also on more than one occasion we needed to remind staff of a drinks order we hadn’t received yet. Wellness area was top notch. We loved the decor, the variety of saunas and the staff. Decided on three stars because of the price/quality balance.

We loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. The Moselschlosschen Spa & Resort def. delivers a lot of value for the price (it's not the cheapest hotel in place, but you get so much more than just a room). If you stay at the hotel your nightly rate not only includes the room, but also access to the spa, breakfast buffet and a 4-course dinner. Let's start with the food - breakfast buffet offered enough for everyone - I have no complains. Dinner was tasty - and def. on the top-end for the price category. The first two offers are fixed (vegetarian friendly), one get to choose the main dish out of three options - meat, fish, vegetarian - and two options for desert. Personally, while the first three course were good, the desert blew my mind every single time - soooo delicious (as it had amazing flavor profiles combined with texture!). The spa is new and amazing. It could help to explain the spa rules during check in, as I saw people taking videos in some areas with their cell phones, which (after reading the regulation) is not permitted (and I don't want to be on someone's video while being in the spa area). Our room was just "OK" (as mentioned by others, no AC (not common in German), and our room had stains all over the carpet and worse, it was directly under the roof (super hot!!!) with lower ceiling and a bed just beneath a very low ceiling (see picture) - I bumped my head a couple of times. Granted, we booked the cheapest room option available and while the room size was spacious, the problems above "ruined" the room experience. With the ceiling directly over the head area of the bed, this room should only be offered for one person as the ceiling is a real hazard (your head will hit the ceiling, that's pretty much a given!). When I brought up the issue with the ceiling to the receptionist, the response I got was that bed only fits were it is is placed - which may be true, but I argue that there shouldn't be a bed under a low ceiling (hazard!) so the hotel should make it a dedicated 1-person room instead. Looking at the picture of the "classic bedroom" on the hotel's webpage, I am not even sure we were given a classic bedroom as the room looks more like the "single bedroom" (though we had booked the classic for two). With that, I have no choice but to vote the "room" as "terrible" as it was below expectation. While I am at it, here are some other areas that could be slightly improved - the food at dinner was sometime served lukewarm, the service was slow (I love Gemütlichkeit but one night we heard several other tables asking for the next dish and we also felt it took just a little bit too long), and service was also "somewhat unorganized" (besides long waits, we received different Information about available seating times, we were twice in one night brought the wrong dish, and it was often difficult to get the attention of the staff). We had two wonderful nights in this hotel with its beautiful location right on the Mosel river. Our (upgraded) room was great with two floors and two beds and also two bathrooms. The room is very neat, clean and tidy. A pity and actually not quite up-to-date is the lack of an air conditioner. We had a very hot room. There is a separate fan, but it is not sufficient enough. Not everything went smoothly with our reservation because we had to send an email three times after we booked with a question about the rental bikes. We got no response three times until we emailed management directly. Only then did we get a reply. Sad and sloppy. We ate at the hotel restaurant once as there are almost no restaurants open in the area on Mondays and Tuesdays. The menu was small but fine. We liked it very much but found it very expensive for what it was. A simple schnitzel for €28.- is really not right and way above average. And I am not talking about the quantity but quality. It’s nothing fancy or special but the prices are. Breakfast is fine although it can be quite busy at the buffet. The setup is not very convenient. Very nice for a pre-dinner drink or simple lunch is the beer garden with a beautiful view over the Mosel. We certainly have to give a big compliment to the lady behind the bar in the separate bar that belongs to the hotel. What a nice professional! She knows how to make the most beautiful and tasty cocktails and she knows how it should be done! An absolute asset to the hotel! In addition to the lack of the air conditioner, we still have a few points for improvement. There is a good coffee machine in the room, but only 2 cups are included. This is very scanty and measured and not very welcoming. It is also very annoying that the shower does not stay hot. This is regularly cold and then warm again and we only used 1 bathroom! And again…. the restaurant prices are not in proportion to what is offered. In the village you can eat much better for less money. We drive to Die Greifen. Awesome! In short, a great hotel with nice facilities and highly recommended. The critical points are easy to solve!
