Started off being excited to stay at the Nancy Ward room. But the views of Laurel Valley and the excitement could not persuade me to give anything higher than a 1 star because of the following. The self-check in was not working at the main door, then it was not working at the room door. You had to call a main line noted only in the email confirmation (nothing on the main door) where customer service was lacking. There is absolutely no one on site. Then a midnight visit to the bathroom is where I encountered a large rodent behind the toilet which scurried out in to the main bedroom somewhere (oh not a mouse). Well you know how the rest of the night would have gone. The room kitchen area had moldy odors. Plus no access to ice is not a plus especially during the summer months. The area just did not have a clean feeling at all - sheets, bedspread, pillows, seating... Overall my expectations were crushed; this place just did not deservev the $250/night rate.
