For your safety, DO NOT STAY at this “hotel”. My stay was at the TRAVEL LODGE 5472B INN RD, MOBILE ALABAMA on 4/19/2024. It has taken me this long to muster up the courage to write this because the stay was horrific and the treatment was traumatic. I cried myself to sleep in the hotel room that has an address that is listed incorrectly. Allow me to start from the beginning. As a business owner, I travel a lot for work and I had a deadline 9 a.m. the following morning which means; its 1 am by the time I located the correct Travel Lodge I had reserved a room at and I have less than 6 hours to be on the road again AND as I was trying to find the location i stopped at two other hotels that were all booked for the night. This will be relevant when I get to the state of the room and why I couldn't just find another one in the middle of the night as a single woman. The attendant was rude and unwelcoming, they did not have the room I reserved so they moved me to another. The room was not fit for most jails or prisons. The toilet did not flush, the microwave appeared to have something explode inside and did not work, the lock didn't work, exposed wiring, the towels were soiled (I ended up with a rash) and trash was left about the room. Those are just a drop in the bucket as to how BAD the condition was. I have included pictures. The curtains were torn and ripped and the door to the bathroom has a huge hole. There was no hairdryer, iron, clothing hanger, or continental breakfast. I made the reservation through my WYNDHAM rewards membership. I obviously contacted them as soon as I could. After some back and forth with the rewards complaint department they threw some rewards points at me and gave me the personal information to the owner of the franchise (the franchisee). I call him and he berated and bullied me over the phone. He told me and I quote “You are not a business owner so how would you know?”. He continued on with things like, “You aren't happy with the room so you want a refund, that is not how this works.” “You don’t tell me to do anything, if you demand it then you get nothing!” “You do not know how business works.” He assured me that he would look into it and call me back. He had not written my name or number down and I pointed that out and he didn’t seem to care much. I did wait a couple of days and did not hear back. After talking with some officials and members of wyndham I decided that I should not have been put in the position to call his bully directly and I am not willing to go through that harassment again. Wyndham has assured me via email and phone call that they have a team and quality control people that are going to check out the property and I would hear back from them and that the general manager of the Travel Lodge would reach out in the mean time to discuss refund. NONE OF THAT HAS HAPPENED. So I am writing this to express that FOR YOUR SAFETY do not use this Travel Lodge and avoid all wyndham facilities because they do no
