Comfort Inn & Suites Tigard Near Washington Square

I have a Yorkshire who is my emotional support, she is my everything. I paid $86 for the room and had to pay $40 for my Yorkshire, I thought the price was abusive. Normally I don't pay, but other hotels charge in the range of $15, $20. I was very indignant. I hope I never stay in this hotel again.

The room was amazingly clean and had many comforts of home. The hotel is older as you can tell from the carpets and the elevator. The elevator was very loud and when it came to the floor, it jolts into position for the door to open and line up with the floor. Some of the people staying there definitely keep you on edge. Very erratic behaviors making a person very nervous about what they might do. From talking to imaginary people to violently ****ing their bodies. They are under staffed and notify you of this upon checking in. I totally understand that, however when it came to me checking out, no one was around to assist me with that.

The front door of the room had a huge gap between the door bolt and the door jam. While the door still locked, there was visibility into/out of the room/hallway. It felt unsafe. Also, the heater when off and when speaking to the front desk they asked that the temp be set no higher than 70° and the fan set to ‘low’ or it blows the breaker. Finally, several questionable people loitered around the property while in their cars smoking.

Ear plugs needed to sleep on 1st floor due to people talking in lobby late at night. Noise carried down hallways. Engineering needs to fix loose toilet seat and bathroom door knob on 106.

The property needs basic, ongoing maintenance. The faucets are loose in the sink, the shower pan is dirty and needs replacement or a thorough cleaning, the drapes are worn and ripped, and the elevator ****s and bounces when moving upwards.

Hotel was lack of staff. When we arrived at the hotel, several people were smoking near the entrance as this hotel was non-smoking property. We needed to ask the front desk to exchange other room to us, as the exhaust fan was unnormally noisy and room was full of funny smell. Luckily the front desk was kind enough to find another room to us which was much much better. Guests next door was really noisy during 12 am and slammed door real hard. As this hotel was quite near to freeway, so a bit noisy during night.

I booked on line not realizing only the double queens have bathtubs. I asked for a room w a tub and the girl at the desk said that room costs more, its an upgrade. I kindly explained I did not feel like I stopped to pay for an upgrade. I didn't read all the fine friend but I assumed my room had a tub. She said she would have to call the manager and she did and he spoke to me. And I could tell was disgruntled and he said this one time. He would do it but from there on out it would be an upgraded and a charge. The property appears to be a fairly new or updated hotel. However housekeeping is not good nor is maintenance. I used to manage a holiday and express. We were a new property and I would randomly inspect a room after housekeeping had been there. I noticed spilt beverages on the bottom of the bathroom door the lavy in the entry ways faucet was extremely loose, The bedding was moderately wrinkled. I wouldn't say horrible but it had wrinkles all through it. There are crumbs between the wall and the lavy cabinet. And the windows, never get wiped down. The tub did not appear dirty. It was missing the stopper. However, you can flip the little lever up and it held water. Hot water was amazing. But I did wipe out some sort of particles out of the tub. Probably only 5 or 6. But I didn't know what it was. And I didn't know what it was. And I didn't want to get in there without me wiping it down Because of appearance. After that I decided don't look anymore or I would be unhappy. The bedding and bed was extremely comfortable and the wall unit worked very well for heat and or coolingThe elevator was very dirty

Good hotel, very friendly staff with one big problem you can not connect your tablet to internet, it says free internet but it is not working i stayed there for 3 nights with no FREE wifi, and nobody helped me i will never go back to that hotel again.

The gentleman that checked us in was nice and friendly. The room was decent sized and clean. Older property that is in need of some updating. The elevator was a little unnerving and shook and made a lot of noise going up and down. The beds were absolutely awful! I don’t mind a firm mattress but these were the equivalent of sleeping on the floor. Neither myself nor my husband got and decent sleep. Checkout is at 11am, yet housekeeping is banging on the doors yelling through the doors before 10am. I usually don’t book at Comfort Inn but it was a convenient location to where I needed to be. I won’t stay here again.
