Booked through ******* for a king sized bed with an in room whirlpool tub. When we checked in we were given a queen bed with no whirlpool tub. When we called the front desk they said that the room we booked was out of service due to the whirlpool tub not working and that if we wanted a reduction in price we’d have to ask the third party which is *******. We contacted ******* the next day after check in and the rep explained that per policy, they were unable to reduce the price because we didn’t contact them during the time of check in. So no one at that point could help us, so as the customer we had to just eat the cost.
Other things that we were not impressed by were the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was hair in the bathtub. Also, we had picked this particular hotel because of the outdoor jacuzzi in the pool area. When we arrived, the jacuzzi was roped off as it was out of order. Also, there was no bar soap for the sink in our room and no body wash. We did not think to bring our own as from our previous experiences staying at hotels, these things are provided. When we asked the front desk, they said they ran out of body wash and bar soap because they had not received their shipment. And one more thing. We laid down to take a nap the first night and from our experience again at other hotels we did not internally lock the door as we did not expect anyone to open the door and come in. Someone had opened the door with a key card. Overall, our experience was pretty poor.
