TUI BLUE Playa Feliz

We stayed for 3 weeks self catering , the apar**ent was clean, it had basic cooking equipment, nice bathroom with hot water on top, and the apar**ent was cleaned most days a d beds changed regularly. Pool was clean and has plenty of sunbeds and a great coffee bar. The positives for us were as we booked with Tui we could use the facilities of the TuiBlue Hotel next door this was bigger and had a gym, spa a bigger selection of restaurants that you could use pay as you go and the food was of a good standard and plenty of it. Staff were always helpful and friendly and dealt quickly with the occasional late night noise. Some supermarkets locally that stocked a good range of food.

Lovely side hotel connecting with the main hotel Orquidea Arrived late in the evening and was greeted with milk sandwiches fruit etc for our 2 young children which was lovely. We stayed in room 36 which was perfect a stone throw away from the pool and breakfast area, we stayed all inclusive Room - spacious plenty of storage space kitchenette lounge double bed and a pull out bed, very clean, shower was lovely and hot (English TV) which was great too! Pool - lovely little shaded pool for little ones and large pool for other very clean 👌 This hotel is connected to the main hotel therefore for lunch and dinner also entertainmemt we had to go there but its just a short walk through a lane and the hotel Orquidea is outstanding!!! Everything you need for little ones parks, TUI staff, games, x3 pools just wow kids will not get bored... the daily kids programme is amazing hotel is beautiful food is delicious too... There was only 1 small thing that in my opinion was a little let down and that was this hotel does NOT have a beach, its states beach but its not great for kids its pebbly and very little sand you cannot go in the sea with children as it very dangerous so if you like a beach then this hotel does not have one suitable for children, we took a taxi to San Antigua which was black sand very hot and again not suitable for children which we were gutted but outer children were entertained with the facilities within the hotel. Lovely place if you want the children to be entertained all day, very clean and food was lovely well done TUI Blu you have a wonderful place and we will see you soon Dan, Kel and the girls x

Gluten Free food was readily available, andnplenty of resturants in the area catered Gluten free. we had a good selection at breakfast with eating from the kids section, nothing was to much trouble for the staff, we had a family emergency and the staff helped organise flowers and the TUI rep allowed us to check out at pick up time and express security at the airport at no extra cost. We had a 2 bedroom apar**ent with sea views out the front and a mountain view out the back, we had two terraces. The apar**ent was very clean, we went all inclusive but the facilities were there for a good self catering holiday. We had such a good time we have booked to come back next March and can't wait.

2nd year staying at playa feliz, after 3 years of staying at orquidea. 2 bed apar**ent with sea view! Amazing! Apar**ent was excellent. Fully equipped and modern. Short walk from the pool with a sea view as requested. Maids excellent. Any issues were dealt with quickly. Ants and cockroach issue but as soon I called to reception, maintenance and maids arrived to sort! We use playa feliz pool everyday as we have 2 children with additional needs. These hotels are amazing with young people with additional needs! Food as always was fantastic at both orquidea and playa Entertainment as always excellent and staff are so friendly. Pepe on the bar is an absolute legend! Kids club staff are incredible. Jade, Vilma, Elsa, Charlie and Marie need a special mention! Already booked for next October again. We stayed at Playa Feliz for a week all inclusive in July as at moly of 5, 2 adults an 11 year old and 7 year old twins. I would say Playa Feliz on it own is not 4* but with the ability to use everything at Orquidea next door it does live up to that rating. We were initially in the wrong apar**ent for two days, we were eventually moved to what we had booked and paid for. Both apar**ents were clean and comfortable, air conditioning isn’t throughout the apar**ents but did a not bad job at keeping the rooms cool. It was over 42 degrees at one point so air conditioning was needed! There were a few cockroaches, we were all inclusive so didn’t have any food in our kitchen - I’m guessing it would have been much worse if we had. The complex is in a beautiful setting, we found it quite quiet at Playa Feliz with lovely views. It’s just a short walk to Orquedia, where the bigger restaurant, more pools and main entertainment is. We never had an issue getting sun beds, we were ready to sit in the sun after breakfast (10/10:30) and always found somewhere to sit over looking the sea. Playa Feliz was not as crowded. It was lovely to have a choice of which pools to go to. Orquedia pools were super busy but great fun for the kids. There was plenty of entertainment around the pools for all ages. Kids club was fab, our children had a great time. There was so much choice of things for the kids to do. The entertainment staff were brilliant, so so enthusiastic and really talented too. The two I remember the names of were Pippa and Jaoquin - there was a girl who sang Dolly Parton songs one night who was an amazing singer too. All the TUI staff made such a fuss of the kids to make their holidays special, thank you. The foam party and beach party were brilliant, such lovely memories to have. The food was good, enough choice - pretty typical all inclusive food. The staff did struggle to keep up with demand at busy times, there weren’t always tables available immediately, it took a while for tables to be cleared and popular dishes to be topped up but we didn’t mind so much as we weren’t in a rush. I would have liked waffles at breakfast more often! (They were amazing) All the hotel staff apart from 1 TUI rep were lovely, all smiley and happy to say hi in the passing. On our 5th night my youngest daughter was sick all night, she was absolutely devastated to be unwell but to miss out on the end of her holiday while she recovered. The next night my son was sick too. I asked for the apar**ent to be cleaned and clean bed linen, they didn’t really clean as much I as I would have liked so I bought stuff from the Spar and did it myself. I went to the chemist across from Orquedia to see what I could buy to help them recover. The women working there said that a lot of people had reported being unwell with sickness. I don’t think it was the food as my other daughter had eaten the same. I reported the illness to TUI. I overheard a conversation at reception (Orquedia)ab

Accommodation The hotel is a selection of apar**ents which stretch for about 1/2 a mile along the promenade. They’re encircling the pool or overlooking the sea. The one we stayed in was a two room apar**ent with one bedroom with twin beds and a pull out sofa bed in the front room, shower room and toilet, kitchenette area including kettle, hob and fridge and a dining table. The terrace outside has seating for three. The apar**ents were cleaned almost daily and the towels changed every couple of days. Couldn’t fault the facilities and the cleanliness in the apar**ent. Pool area There is one large pool and a baby pool. I don’t have a baby anymore but I was impressed with the big shade across the baby pool-wish they had something like that when mine were small! The main pool area has plenty sun loungers and there were always loungers spare all day. There isn’t enough parasols for the loungers but plenty of other shaded areas where you could move to if you wanted to get out of the sun for a bit-so no early morning towel run. Aqua aerobics and little kids disco in the pool most days in the morning and adult water polo in the afternoon were well organised and enjoyable. Food and drink The pool bar is open from 10am-5pm for snacks and drinks. Self serve beer, soft drinks, hot drinks and slush alongside chips/burgers/hot dogs/sandwiches etc and small pastries. There is one restaurant in the hotel which serves really nice, well cooked and varied food. Pretty good for all inclusive both choice and variety. You can use the restaurants in the Orquidea next door (5 minute walk) and I would highly recommend booking the taverna at the Orquidea beach as it’s included in the AI for one visit per stay and it was lovely. The bar in the hotel closes at 10pm but the Orquidea bars are open later until 11.30ish. Plenty choice of local spirits for the AI with branded soft drinks and Tropical lager also included. Entertainment The main entertainment happens in the Orquidea. It’s *very* busy. We didn’t manage to get a table once for the main show but after that it empties out and there’s plenty space for the live music slot. There is plenty for teens on at the Playa Feliz from 9pm-silent disco, outdoor cinema, mocktail night etc. download the ‘blue’ app (not the TUI app) for the daily programme. Location The back of the hotel is situated between two pebbly beaches where you can swim, the hotel has its own manmade sandy beach in the Orquidea where you can hire loungers for €3 for the day. A bit further on is a beach bar and surf shack where you can hire body boards €4 for an hour or canoes etc. The other way (opposite way to the Orquedia) is the other pebble beach and about a mile to the town but there’s not much there. Just outside the hotel at the front is a shopping centre with three supermarkets, little shops, Chinese restaurant, steak restaurant and Italian restaurants. We only ate in the Chinese restaurant which was reasonably priced and tasty. Review W

Excelemnt property. Great facilities. Just a little far out from the main resort for us.

This was our second time in Playa Feliz, third time in Blue hotel Bahia Feliz area. If you stay here for the very first time, it will be a good experience. But if you have had a vacation previosly, it is not the same it used to be. All Inclusive is still great. Lots of great food, lots of drinks to choose. Staff is very friendly. It is small things and nickle and diming that make the difference. There are still yoga, hiit etc classes every day. Previously they used to be Les Mills classes, and there were a couple of different every day. There is still beach volley. Befor it was ok to continue playing, but now staff took the ball away after 60 minutes because a ”company policy”. You can’t borrow a ball -anymore, you have to buy or rent it. If you want to go play some basketball -you have to rent a whole sports court. Do I have to say sports court stayed empty all the time? Do we come back fourth time? Probably not. But it is still a good choise to have a relaxing holiday. Notice there is nothing much outside the hotel area. Only a couple of shops and a few restaurants. So if you don’t like just staying in hotel area, you might want to rent a car and explore the island.

Good comfortable apar**ent with everything you need for your holiday. If we stood on tiptoes on the balcony we could see the ocean. The balcony was in a great position and got the sun all day. There are 2 good supermarkets less than 5 minutes away. Plenty of sun loungers around the pools and plenty of activities if that’s what you are looking for. All the staff are friendly. The walkway takes you along to San Augustin and Playa del Ingles and is a great walk around 7.5km each way.
