I don’t really understand why this place has such rating, as facilities are average and there are places in Unawatuna providing the same or even better facilities being no costly than this one. But the biggest drawback of this place is the hypocrite host. We spent one night at this place, although we planned to spend 3-4. I had to adjust the dates twice as plans changed during the trip. The host agreed and modified my booking. We left after one night, as we were disappointed with the place as a whole and, as it turned out later, not in vain. The location: the place is located 5-7 km from Unawatuna in a residential area near the Thalpe beach. Not far from the site there is a railway and train horns are clearly audible in the rooms. If you drive by car, the exit to the residential area from Galle road is extremely dangerous, as it is located right at the turn of the road. Territory and rooms: The territory is large, green, but deserted: on one side there is a main building, on the other - a swimming pool, and in the middle there is a lawn, trees around the perimeter. The pool is large, but when we were there, it was a little dirty - as if no one cleaned it, maybe because we were the ONLY guests in a rather high season (isn't it strange for a place with an excellent rating, right?) The first room in which we were settled was without a wardrobe, and the fan made a clicking sound during rotation. We asked to change the room (we were lucky that no one else was staying at the villa these days), the second room was with a wardrobe, but the air conditioner could not cool the room down and it was hot. In general, there was not enough storage area in both rooms, especially in the bathroom. By the way, the bathroom: we never managed to set up a uniform supply of hot water - it was sometimes cold, sometimes very hot, we could not bath the child normally. Beaches: if you, like us, go to the island for beautiful beaches, then Thalpe beach, which is supposedly walkable to, will be a big disappointment: 10 minutes in the heat and crossing the busy Galle road - so think twice if you are traveling with children . We went to Dalawella beach and took umbrellas from local beach clubs, it was not very comfortable, although we have rented a car, but walking is generally unrealistic. The reality was extremely different from the description and we decided to check out of the hotel after the first night. We were somewhat uncomfortable because we were the only guests and did not want to upset the host, who apparently has some problems with the occupancy of the hotel. I had only to say that we were moving out and then the most interesting began. The hostess (Petra), hearing that we want to move out, began to behave nervously and hysterically. We referred to the fact that it was inconvenient for us to travel far to the beach with the child and extremely politely asked us to check us out. Petra agreed, billed us for a one night stay. When paying, she g
