Hotel Midtown Richardson

Id like the spacious of the room and they grant my request the room with bathtub and bidet. And also the housekeeper saw us leaving in our room and they approach us if we would like our room to be cleaned first. And we said yes and the next day they greet us again.. and About the buffet its little bit crowded but the staff there is really organize. I recommend it to those who like the local food but me I didnt like the food bcus its all Chinese cuisine. But Im glad that they have a loaf bread and margarine and strawberry jam that I can eat. But still I like everything except the food and the wifi signal is worst 🥺.

The room was reasonable clean but I thought our room was non smoking but we could smell smoke coming to our room. Not sure how much the hotel reinforce no smoking in the hotel. The location was definitely a plus as it is near to amenities.

Great location, but the room is mouldly and look run down. We have selected a room without a window and i have paid extra for this bigger unit. 😡The wallpaper is peeling off and with water strain. 😤 Even the chair is also not working, worse I was given a room near the lift lobby it's so noisy at night. Lucky I only stay 2 nights, don't t recommend u to take room without window. hopefully, the room with the window is better.

Loved the hotel, extremely close to station and Ximending. Staffs very friendly, rooms are clean and pleasant, hotel looks 5 star if anything. Buffet served are amazing as well for dinner

Stragic location. Easy accesss to Ximending commercial area. However hotel can improved on the hotel room corridoor, light is too dim and the carpet is not user friendly when moving luggages around, luggage hardly to push around.

Repeat stay. Good location. Near Ximen MRT. Nearby 7 eleven , restaurants, night market opposite across the street. Easy to transfer from Taoyuan Airport. Responsive and helpful staff. Our room include a tub. Room is clean. Tried hotpot this round. Quite good.

The hotel staff were very friendly, attentive & helpful. We dialed to operator at late night checking where does the water dispenser but they went the extra miles and delivered extra bottles of water for us. Location also was very near to the metro station, it's nearer to walk from exit 5 than exit 4 though.

Location: Hotel Midtown Richardson is excellently situated next to Ximen MRT, just a 2-3 minute walk from exits 4 and 5. This prime location makes it incredibly convenient for exploring Ximending and accessing public transportation. Check-In Experience: Be prepared for a strict check-in policy; the hotel does not allow early check-ins and adheres strictly to a 3 PM start time. Check-in is self-service, which may not suit everyone but is straightforward enough to navigate. Facilities and Ambience: The exterior and lobby of the hotel are quite impressive and give off a modern, upscale vibe. However, manage your expectations as the rooms themselves do not quite match this initial impression. They are compact and functional but lack the same level of polish seen in the common areas. Room Comfort: The rooms are on the smaller side, and soundproofing is minimal, which is typical for many hotels in Taiwan. The bed is soft, which some might find too yielding, but we still managed to sleep well. The bathroom offers strong water pressure, which is a plus. However, the air conditioning was a bit of a challenge, as it remained at a steady 22-23 degrees despite attempts to adjust it to a warmer setting. Breakfast: One of the highlights was the breakfast spread, which exceeded expectations compared to many local hotels. The variety was commendable. However, due to the high number of guests, finding a seat during peak times can be difficult. Overall: Hotel Midtown Richardson is a good option if you prioritize being close to Ximen and need a convenient base for exploring Taipei. While there are some drawbacks, such as the room size and soundproofing, the location and breakfast offerings make it a reasonable choice for short stays.

I booked a family room with two double beds. I sent an email right away to them after receiving a confirmation of booking to clarify, that it can accommodate up to 4 adults. They said “Yes” but when we arrived at hotel last May 14, 2023 around 4 midnight, they were telling me that it can only accommodate up to 2 adults and I have to pay extra for other 2 pax. It was very disappointing, since we assumed and state clearly on the email that we are all fit on the room. We paid additional 12k pesos or 6K NTD. Few points: 1) trip.com should have had the disclaimer to protect consumers with this type of booking consumers 2)The hotel could have not confirmed that 4 person is included on the booking. This is against the consumer rights and we will report to DTI about this type of scam so proper action will be taken accordingly. This is an unfair charging to tourists. I hope to receive a feedback upon this asap. Thank you!
