The hotel is old, but well maintained and comfortable. A few restaurants are within walking distance. Pleasant hotel staff/reception.

What a disappointment. My wife and I stayed in room 414. The room smelled musty, the television did not work and the heater sounded like a freight train as it went on and off every 20 minutes. I had stayed at this hotel twice before; this will be my last time. My wife jokingly commented that that had to be one of the worst hotel stays ever.... I concur.
Ironically, a friend of mine was in 404 and her television did not work as well. Perhaps the staff should check that the televisions work before renting out a room.

Spencer at the front desk could not have been any more helpful or accommodating. He represents the Parkview hotel well. The Parkview is our preferred place to stay when visiting Syracuse.

Tired of staying in the chains? Want to try something different. The Parkview is old school and very nice. If it is important to the traveler, please note there is no breakfast. There is coffee.

Patrons in wheeel chairs or with limited mobility should enter at back entrance as a few steps are required at the front
Two well stocked beverage and snack machines
Ice machines and snack / beverage machines are located downstairs
Modest sitting area in the lobby with complementary hot beverages provided
Limit toiletries
Not ideal for small children (exposed cable / tv cords) & sharp edges where the heating unit is separating from the wall

The room was clean, spacious and warm. Parking was easy and convenient. The common areas were nicely decorated and clean. Front desk lady was friendly and inviting
