Hotel Fenix

Good location and some friendly staff but that is where it ends. Our family room had dirty carpets, stained bed base, cracks on the wall, curtains hanging at an angle with broken hooks, badly repaired broken door handles and frame, broken wall socket with exposed wiring and the food, well, it is an acquired taste. Makeshift all inclusive bar that constantly ran out of ice or some popular drinks. No designated no smoking areas poolside, no evening entertainment and Balkan Holidays found all these acceptable! Best avoided at all cost

So where to begin? Arrived at the hotel at 3.30am and was given our first room which was filthy and had burn marks all over the carpet, went down and told them and was given a 2nd room and when i opened the door there was already someone staying in that room and was lying in bed!! I went back down to reception who can barely even say hello in English and then got ignored as 2 off duty male staff came in drunk with girls on their arms and pushed me to the side whilst the receptionist swiped their key cards for whatever reason! Finally 3rd time the room i was given was at least abit decent but still very old fashioned and a lumpy grubby carpet!! They cannot call this an All Inclusive as the bar for AI include 1 type of cheap horrible beer and house wine!! The food was horrendous and hardly any choices and most was actually inedible! We ended up eating out as couldn’t stomach the food! The staff are some of the rudest people i have ever came across in my entire life! Couldn’t crack a smile between them! The only one who was nice was the cleaner on our floor! 4th floor! She was lovely!! Also no snacks throughout the day and small plastic cups for drinks and it was sooo hot that you needed bigger than that! When we asked for larger they told us “NO”!! Also for the size of the hotel there is inadequate amount of sunloungers! We were there 3 days before we managed to get any!! I honestly would never recommend or return to this hotel unless they had a major refurb of the hotel and the staff!! AVOID!!!!!!

The hotel is a budget hotel which I understood before I went , but there is basic and basic the food / drinks / staff were terrible do not go if you are British you get totally ignored in favour locals

Cheap late deal yes, worth it no!! Been here since 4 days on a half board basis, the sea/pool view room is basic but clean, beds are very low so hard to get up from following hip surgery!! No entertainment (even though our booking form stated there was during peak season. We have been unable to use the pool area up to now as there are a minimal amount of sunbeds for the size of the hotel & the ones they do have are taken by towels all day with no one using them!! Food isn’t great, sp****, repetitive & running out of basics like butter for toast etc in a morning, there is no cold drinks included, which in every half board I’ve ever been to HB, hot drinks, water, wine & juice is for all, we’ve checked each morning/night what’s on offer but have left to eat out instead, the only evening meal we’ve had I asked for a glass of water & they said “no all inclusive” come on its water fgs!! Needless to say although it was cheap we won’t return here, all I can say is thankfully Bulgaria is cheap to eat out, otherwise we would have a problem as we haven’t brought a huge amount of money with us. Much improvement needed here at the Hotel Fenix

we booked a 4 star hotel so we expected a 4 star service, the rooms are basic, bed chair, tv, very few english channels, states mini bar, actually a fridge and have to pay to have it stocked, NO ENTERTAINMENT, 700 room 60 sunbeds, DO NOT go all inclusive, meals are repetitive and poor, no in between snacks, the AI bar was a beer pump in the restaurant, no a**osphere, have to hire a kettle, downstairs lobby is clean, but floors and rooms are very dated, it was like staying at a 1970's butlins. did not cater for the english, no TEA.. no onsite holiday rep, had to goto the sister hotel for that which was 3 star had was miles better.. only thing it has going for it is the location. this has spoilt the holiday for me and i will not be going back

The location is amazing, but don’t get “all inclusive” it’s 3 mediocre meals a day (being military I can say our meals are the same AND THATS NOT A COMPLIMENT) there is no night time entertainment or even day entertainment if your British I can relate it too a Travelodge or premier inn, not a 4 star hotel,( not a clue who gave it 4 stars btw) I wouldn’t rate it 3 start, avoid at all costs, I beg for you and your wallet, will not be back here again

Wakacje all inclusive z TUI Polska. Pobyt w sierpniu 2023 roku. Pokój z brudną i pofałdowaną wykładziną. Wygląda jakby był wcześniej zalany. Pokój ekonomiczny ma dostawkę w postaci sofy rozkładanej w stylu łóżka polowego. Łazienka wielkości 1.5 x 1.0 metr z umywalką pod prysznicem. Standard stołówki zakładowej. Jedzenie niesmaczne, monotonne i często zimne. Brak ryżu, ziemniaków oraz surówek warzywnych. Jedzenie przygotowywane z najtańszych gotowych produktów (frytki, nuggetsy, kotlety mięsne, hamburgery, pizza) oraz moczone w tłustych sosach lub smażone w głębokim oleju. Brak filiżanek do kawy lub herbaty. Ciepłe napoje nalewane do plastikowych jednorazowych kubków! "Bar all inclusive" znajduje się wyłącznie w restauracji (za nalewakiem coca coli) w stylu "wydawki w barze mlecznym. Bar w lobby płatny również dla gości all-inclusive. W restauracji w trakcie posiłków bardzo duszno i nieprzyjemnie, z powodu niedziałającej klimatyzacji. Na korytarzach hotelowych (sufity i ściany) widać grzyb i popękany tynk. Wyczuwalna woń wilgoci. Barierka na balkonie cała pordzewiała. "Zestaw balkonowy" z najtańszego plastiku. Wokół basenu popękany beton oraz krzywe i odstające płytki, które pomalowane są czerwoną farbą w celu ostrzeżenia. Na plaży brak pryszniców z słodką wodą aby opłukać się z soli po kąpieli w morzu.

Went Half Board- already know what B&B but wanted to save money so tried Half Board - Some brits have certain expectations - when you go please have an open mind when you go to other countries Basic - food, simple and nice, changes in daily food only things same were the usual, chips, veg and pizza oh and ice cream Rooms - Bedding and towels changed regular, AC works and also good view of the beach and pool - really what else do you need only let down, had to bring drinks even when it was squash and water in evening, i knew i would have to pay for alcohol, but not basic drinks - i spoke to balk regarding this also Best way to describe the Fenix, as a family member put it - "a basic travel inn"

We really enjoyed our 2 weeks at the Fenix Hotel. We were self catering so we didn't face any of the issues regarding the food. When we arrived we were quickly shown to our room which was clean with a view over the pool and the sea. The cleaner came in everyday and left clean towels every other day. The location is great and night time was quite so you could get a sleep. When leaving this morning at 2.15am they had a packed breakfast for us which was a real surprise. We would definitely return to this hotel if we decide to go back to Sunny Beach
