In the winter time, it is your "private" sledding hill. The harbor is where you can launch a boat or take the lake cruise. You can also walk to the town outdoor basketball court, baseball/soccer field, and an outdoor ice skating rink in winter time.You will be offered beach guest parking pass so you can enjoy either the local Dewey beach or Georges Mills beach. The Dewey beach is a really nice local beach with warm clear calm water in the summer time. It features life guard, snack bar, kayak and paddle board rental, picnic tables, and a playground. There are also plenty of other area beaches. Sunapee State park beach is a few minutes drive away. A short-drive (7-minute) to the Sunapee ski resort that also has summer adventure camp with zip lines and all sorts of fun activities. Lots of area trails, water holes, farms to explore.
