Island Home Bed and Breakfast

We stayed at this B&B and it was an excellent choice for us. The location is central to town and everything is within walking distance. There are many restaurants and walking paths nearby. The most important feature of the inn are the owners, Sharon and Mike. They have thought of every fine detail and the pride of their home is evident. There is plenty of parking, the room was very large with lots of room for luggage. The linens and towels were of good quality and plentiful. The breakfasts were outstanding. Everyday was a new theme…with plates, linens and mugs to match. Coffee and OJ are served, breads and yogurt are available on the sideboard, food is plated and served, a different offering each day. The breakfasts are so hearty that we skipped lunch both days. Their excellent reviews are a true testament for an outstanding stay. Do not hesitate to book.

My friend and I loved this charming place and the proprietors. Sharon and MIke are complete gems. Warm, funny, hospitable, interesting. The place is immaculate and the breakfasts are a feast not only for the stomach but for the eyes as well. Wonderful table decor and excellent food. Try it out, you wont regret it!

Friendly, helpful, entertaining hosts. Rooms were very comfortable with many amenities. Good location. Quiet neighbourhood. Close enough to walk to the waterfront and boardwalk. The breakfasts were delicious, used local ingredients, lots of variety, cooked to perfection and preference. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay. I found the owners very nice and thoughtful and always ready to help and answer our questions. The breakfast were wonderful the 2 days of our stay. The food was good and well presented. Rooms were clean and beautiful. I totally recommend.

Sharon and Mike Farrell are the ultimate hosts! Their B&B is lovely, cozy, spotless, and full of lots of "extras". Our room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. Breakfast was beyond fabulous every day. Mike and Sharon have put their hearts and soul into running their B&B and it shows. While staying at their home, we felt like part of their family. We will stay here next time we return to PEI! Cheers to Mike and Sharon!

The location in Summerside, PEI was perfect as we could walk anywhere downtown in minutes! The room was adorable with a seaside theme and spotless. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, better than what I have at home! Sharon's breakfast each day was a special treat with seasonal fruits and a different home cooked menu daily! The table settings also had a different theme! Both Mike and Sharon made us feel like family. After this experience I would never stay anywhere else in Summerside. Looking forward to going back and staying longer!

Sharon and Mike are one of a kind. We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights in their very special home. From the moment we arrived we knew that we had chosen the perfect place to spend time in PEI. Sharon and Mike are amazing hosts that are caring and thoughtful, that make you feel at home . We can say that there are many reasons why this place is so special. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Mike and Sharon have literally thought about and provided for every need that a guest could have. The bed and sheets are super comfortable and the home is super clean. They also provided refreshments and treats very thoughtful. The breakfast is definitely an event you don't want to miss, the food is delicious and plentiful and there was a different menu each morning. Every morning Sharon creatively decorates the breakfast table to a different theme. The settings are simply amazing. Sharon and Mike also provided us with great suggestions for local places to see and where to eat. We have very fond memories of our first visit to PEI. Thank you Sharon and Mike.

Wonderful, wonderful experience. This Bed & Breakfast is amazing. Great parking. Very safe. Spotless from top to bottom. Rooms were beautiful and well stocked. Incredible attention to detail from the decor to the linens to the place settings. Fresh desserts (fudge, cookues, mini donuts) in the shared area to snack on. Breakfast was phenomenal every morning. Coordinated, themed place settings and tableware. Even Sharon's aprons. Each days breakfast was different...all incredible with a focus on fresh, quality, locally sourced seasonal ingredients. We had, on different mornings, waffles with fruit and whipped cream, poached eggs served on hashbrown patties with ham, egg boat croissants, French toast casserole with caramelized pecans. Tons of coffee, tea and juices, bacon, sausages, PEI potatoes, fruit and berries, fresh baked bread, award winning cheeses and locally produced jams and maple syrup. Mike and Sharon, the hosts, are wonderful. Warm, welcoming and ready to help make your stay at their B&B, and on the island, incredible. So knowledgeable about local restaurants, beaches, and attractions. Lots of brochures and maps available as well. Every guest we spoke to during our stay was equally impressed. I do not have enough good things to say about our stay here. I cannot recommend enough.

I've stayed at numerous B & B's over the years, Island Home is by far the best B &B I've stayed at!! From the time we pulled-up into the drive way we were greeted by the friendliest, warm and inviting couple. Sharon and Mike couldn't do enough for Us (Wife and good friend) We stayed for 4 days and we felt as if we were family and really didn't want to leave! The rooms (3 in total available) were warm, inviting, comfortable and extremely spotless! Every amenity under the sun was available from razors to tooth paste in-case we forgot something from home. Coffee, bottled water both fresh and sparkling and home baked treats were always available. Of course a B&B is nothing without the Breakfast.......Sharon's were amazing and we were stuffed each day....there was no money spent on lunches those 4 days!! From homemade waffles (served with fresh berries, homemade whipped cream, and strawberry rhubarb compote from their garden) to themed potato breakfasts with eggs bennie served on hash browns! We spent a couple of hours each morning enjoying not only the food but the company of Sharon and Mike. I'm pretty sure I saw Mike's eyes water when we left. If you are travelling to PEI which is incredible! Do yourselves a favour and stay in Summerside at the Island Home!! You won't regret it I promise!
