Psycho chef nearly salt poisoned me after I asked for extra mushroom risotto having been served a small starter sized portion when I’d already checked the risotto was mains sized. (At £17 you’d think so!) Waitress agreed small. Extra came with Spoonfuls of salt on it. Irresponsible & spiteful. Waitress took cost off the bill. Should have gone to management with evidence but really too blown away…

Beautiful! Food was delicious & good value for money. I had paella - very tasty. My husband had venison & thought it delicious. You can see how old some parts of the place are. Comfortable, cosy & well maintained with decent facilities. Would recommend .

I just stayed one night. I could feel history of the hotel. Location is good, breakfast is wonderful, staffs are very kind.

What a lovely Inn and restaurant. We and our 2 dogs were warmly welcomed to the Inn. A very nice and comfortable room with a great bed and fluffy pillows. We ate in the conservatory as we had our 2 dogs with us. Duncan, our waiter was lovely, helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the Inn. The duck salad was fabulous and the pork ribs starter fell off the bone. Hubby had the venison and was very happy. Don’t miss visiting this wonderful historic establishment, we will certainly return.

Really lovely pub. Food was delicious, staff were really friendly and very accommodating with fast service. Can recommend the crispy duck salad, sweet and sour chicken and calamari starter. Will definitely come back again when visiting the area.

Is it the oldest pub/ tavern / inn…..discuss ♀️. Any how’s, enjoyed the Guinness and ambience and talking about the history of the pub and connection to witches ♀️. Very well done out and easy to get to especially when you are staying next door in a rented cottage

Great location on the main drag in a quaint old building. I spent (2) nights and my room was cozy and the breakfast was delicious! The only problem I had was they were extremely busy and I felt a bit stressed when talking to the employees for help touring the area and in general.

Lovely Pub, comfortable stay, delicious food. Welcoming staff. The menu has traditional dishes and some less traditional - gastro-pub dishes - but even the new fangled dishes are comforting and full-bodied tasty as traditional pub grub.

The food was average nothing better than your normal local pub but heavily overpriced. The worst part was the customer service - it was extremely poor. They said they were fully booked however most of the restaurant was free the whole 2 hours we were in there. I would not recommend this place for a couple having a romantic evening.
