Great central location for activites and eating, nice clean family room, super breakfast, adorable and helpful staff. Also games for children, which helps.

The place was super cosy and I loved that our family of 5 could be in one room altogether! I would recommend that the hotel replace all their pillows as you can tell they are old and fragmenting and a good pillow can work wonders for a good nights sleep! The breakfast was amazing and the staff really friendly!

Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. They offered a good breakfast. Lodge was well situated and in easy walking distance of the little village sites. It was clean and peaceful. Will definitely visit here again.

We booked 9 of the 10 rooms and took over the lapa. It was a perfect venue for all of us. Our group consisted of 17 adults and 4 children aged 2, 3, 4 and 5. The lapa is where we cooked, braaied, sat around chatting and where we ate and played cards etc. The kiddies had a ball and the outdoor chess set was a huge hit with the adults. When the kiddies were in bed we were still close to the rooms so they were all safe. It is off road parking and they lock the gates at night. The venue is also set up for loadshedding. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. One suggestion for the owners ... put some doors on the kitchen cupboards so that we don't have to take all the food to our rooms to keep it away from the baboons. I can definitely recommend The Village Lodge.

We loved your stay. Stormriver Village is the custiest City we have visited in South África and this lodge is adorable. People are really friendly and they provided us the support needed. Parking available and a nice garden to relax.

Our stay was relatively good. This is an ideal place for family especially if you have small kids. The staff are very friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to make us comfortable albeit the death by breakfast. The menu REALLY needs to be improved, we stayed there for 5 days and had the same breakfast everyday...there's serious room for improvement. We even had to buy our own ingredients so our kids could have pancakes, thanks for the cook who prepared these for us. The bathrooms can also be improved as the one in my room had mold and looked very worn-out

I only booked in for one night and wished i had stayed for longer. the staff were great and the accommodation was comfortable. the area deserves more time and the position of the venue is pivotal perfectly positioned.

Whenever I want to visit Eastern Cape I'll like to visit The Village again,the place was perfect and also people were friendly and helpful. We didn't struggle to find the location they gave us and we found them ready for our visit

This was one of the nicest villages – very cute and safe, a real hidden gem. The Village Lodge is a fine place to stay, and the staff are very nice. It’s a bit rundown, and could definitely do with some sprucing up, but everything was clean and worked fine. We were there in winter, and they had a heater brought to our room, so we were ok. You do lose all power during load-shedding, but we just went across the road to the Tsitsikamma Village Inn for dinner during this time, since they have a generator. I think in high season the Village Lodge does run their generator, but when we were there, we were the only guests. The breakfast was very good with an assortment of cold options, cereal, fruit, etc., and then you can order hot options as well. Just down the road, past the grocery store, is a really exceptional art shop – the owner, Isreal, is an incredibly talented artist, and such a nice guy. We bought a painting of elephants, have had it framed, and treasure it now.
