Lovely and warm. Comfy bed and spacious room. Not ideal location if wanting to walk to a pub but minutes away from local pubs in a taxi. Having a well known restaurant in the hotel was fantastic and good meal but disappointed they didn’t have the doughnut dessert but luckily Tesco is just across the road.

The noise from the road is constant. I was awake at 3 am and was unable to go back to sleep because of it. The room although dated was clean and warm. But new pillows are desperately need. The current ones are hard and lumpy. All in all we won't be staying again

Hotel has several 22kwh EV chargers in its car park, and there are even faster 50 kWh chargers opposite (in McDonalds).

The hotel is in need of a serious overhall from small things like a plug in the bathroom sink that works to removal of mould around the bath. overall the bathroom is tired and un welcoming. The only plus is that there is unlimited hot water. The shower over the bath is uninviting and there is a notice to say if you need a safety bathmat go to recption to request one. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable with very clean bedding so we had a good nights sleep

Hotel was great, had a two night stay as we were going to Alton Towers, not too far away which was great. Good location, walking distance from Aldi and Tesco a d only about a 30 minute drive to Alton Towers in Traffic. The hotel was clean and better than i expected. Bed was very comfy, double bed with very soft bedding. Only thing was thay one side of the bed felt that it was dipping however for a short stay it was okay. Hotel had bar and restaurant attached which was great! The food was better than expected with great offers on food and drink very happy with the experiance. Also on the Wednesday, the bar had a quiz night, fantastic fun and well done very enjoyable.
The reception staff, i believe it was Victoria, was great and super lovely. Very helpful and full of local knowledge to ensure we could fill our free time with good activites. Also she was warm and friendly on check in and every other occassion that she spoke with us. Would stay here again!!

This may have been the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. There was mold all around the shower. The vinyl floor in the bathroom was sliced open in one place and sagging like a sponge in others. The veneer on the tops of all the furniture was mostly worn off. The walls were dirty. We had to wait almost 10 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk to check us in - and that was after using a doorbell button and a phone that were both labeled "use if you need service". Clearly a place that is being run to extract as much cash as possible without any capital investment. The owners should be ashamed. How it garners respectable ratings numbers in website reviews should be investigated.

The hotel was exactly what we needed for a family trip to Alton towers. Comfy bed to sleep in and the food was great. Cannot thank Robyn enough, she went above and beyond to help us with our booking issues when we arrived can kept us updated. She was fab!

No problem on late check in. We arrived after midnight, pressed the intercom and the staff asked for the name then came and opened the door to welcome us in.
Took a few minutes for the staff to locate the documents and provide the room key and the pin code for the front door. The room key is a proper key and not the electronic credit card size key.
The bed was medium firm but the mattress round the back area have dipped a bit but not enough to say discomfort. Just different to what I'm used to.
The only down side is the noise from the first floor. You can hear the footsteps from the first floor occupants.
