Le Manoir de Brendel

A very belated but nonetheless truly heartfelt THANK YOU to Le Manoir de Brendel for hosting us a little while back in October for our Gondwana Tours & Safaris get together in the beautiful Cape Winelands. We were looked after like celebrities, “wined and dined”, nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly and attentive staff with welcoming smiles …… We really enjoyed the plentiful amenities, and little touches like the complimentary sherry and wine. .... Loved the crisp linen and very comfortable beds/ bedding as well as the bathrobes. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to lounge around the huge pool - but it certainly is an amazing feature and we will have to return to try it out. We stayed at the self catering "cottage" which has three double beds. Downstairs en-suite bedroom and upstairs more open plan bedroom that shares one large bathroom in the middle. There is ample space! We also occupied two stunning rooms in the main house. What a treat. Equally big and equally well kitted out. Breakfast is served on the verandah on sunny days & inside on cooler days. The buffet and hot breakfast to order leaves nothing to wish for. Dietary requirements are taken care of provided they have been communicated in advance. If anyone is thinking of getting married or celebrating a special occasion look no further …. There is even a small chapel on the property! ….. also worth mentioning is that this is an animal friendly accommodation! This beautiful gem surrounded by the characterful Franschhoek Mountain range in the Cape Winelands has the feel of a home away from home and offers all the comforts one would look for in a luxury accommodation. Franschhoek town is only a short 5min drive away. Guests may also enjoy hikes in through the vineyards that surround the property. For those that prefer a less busy place to stay when visiting Cape Town, Le Manoir really lends itself as a base from which to explore the Cape Peninsula.

We stayed unfortunately only one night, wounld definitely have liked more time in this beautiful estate. The room was spacious, very chic and comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious and prepared with so much love for detail. The manager was very welcoming and nice. If we ever go back to Fraschhoek, we‘ll stay at the Brendel Estate again!

Le Manoir is a beautiful escape in the heart of Franschhoek. Wonderfully appointed rooms with fine amenities. The breakfast brunch was a TREAT! The staff was at all times helpful. The mattress was ultra comfortable. The grounds were fun to take walks on and the large outdoor chess set has the most incredible views. Great pool!

The inn is tired and needs maintenance. Surprisingly, breakfast is not included in the price. I suspect the previous reviewers are bots as most of them have 1x review, a name with numbers. Staff are friendly though and the farm has a good vibe about it.

Lovely location with wonderful views.Charmaine and her staff were very welcoming and explained all the amenities etc.Gated,secure parking was great to have and the pool area and gardens were delightful.The Breakfast choices were excellent (and great value for money)and lovely to have outside on the veranda/patio. Wi-Fi could have been more reliable.

Beautifully located in the between the wine farms with an amazing lush garden and wonderful staff. We played some chess in the garden and it was great to cool down in the swimming pool after a day of winetasting.

We spent three nights at Le Manoir de Brendel and could not fault it all . Beautiful setting, very friend attentive staff and delightful owner who went out of her way to make our stay special. We will be back!

Charming space with incredible hospitality. And a location that gives you both the privacy and closeness of the town, a feel for the winery and mountain backdrops and a cute breakfast to get you started on the right foot!

Everything about our visit was super. The welcome we received from Charmaine to the very friendly staff at all times, made our visit special. The breakfast was fantastic as was the overall attention to detail. Would highly recommend this property.
