This is our 4th time of staying in this hotel also our second time in Alam Villa. But after compared to last time we stayed in 2018, it's sad to say this hotel is going down hill. The hotel is severly under staff, things are getting old, pipes are leaking. Compared to the same Anniversary holiday, we had a different experience and treatment this time. We do hope the hotel management can do something to improve. Still, we still recommend this hotel to someone who has limited budget.

New hotel- the hotel looks amazing, facilities are good and the staff are friendly. Walking distance to shops, a convenience store and restaurants. However, the traffic in the surrounding roads leading to the hotel was very bad! On bad days, it took 2 hours ++ by car just to get back to the hotel. Will need to consider travelling by scooter if you don't want to be stuck in traffic. Plus, make sure to leave enough time when leaving for the airport. I know the traffic issues are unavoidable... otherwise everything else regarding this hotel is great!

I booked a 6-night stay at Villa Estella from September 28 to October 4, 2026. The villa itself is beautiful, well-equipped, and ideally located for a stay in Seminyak. The staff are also friendly, welcoming, and professional, as is often the case in Indonesia. Unfortunately, I can only give this property 2 stars because my stay was significantly affected by an issue that was never disclosed before my booking: major construction work was taking place in the villa directly next to mine. For all six days of my stay, construction workers arrived every morning around 8:30–9:00 a.m. and continued working until approximately 5:30–6:00 p.m. Beyond the constant movement of workers, conversations, and music from the construction site, I had to endure hammering against the wall of my bedroom, drilling, material cutting, and various other loud construction noises throughout the day. In addition, dust and construction debris regularly settled on my terrace, outdoor furniture, and around the pool area. Whether inside or outside the villa, the noise level was simply incompatible with a relaxing holiday. I specifically chose this villa because it was located away from the busier parts of Seminyak and because I wanted to enjoy the private pool. Since Seminyak’s beaches are often difficult to enjoy for swimming due to the waves, I expected to spend time relaxing at the villa and cooling off during the hottest hours of the day. Unfortunately, the noise was so constant and intrusive that it was impossible to comfortably stay at the property from morning until late afternoon. The day after my arrival, I contacted management to explain that the situation was unacceptable and that I should have been informed about the construction work before booking. In my opinion, this is essential information that should be clearly disclosed on booking platforms. The only solution offered was to have the workers start a little later in the morning so that I could sleep longer. No alternative accommodation was proposed, no full refund for the unused nights was considered, and the only compensation offered was a 30% refund on the remaining nights, which I considered completely inadequate given the extent of the disruption. The construction work continued throughout my stay. I received several apology emails acknowledging the inconvenience and warning me that there would still be noise on the following days. However, beyond these apologies, no meaningful action was taken to resolve the issue. I felt trapped and left without a real solution. I was repeatedly told that I was free to leave the property, while also being informed that the compensation would remain limited to this partial refund, which was presented as an exceptional commercial gesture. Empathy and apologies are appreciated, but concrete action matters more. I was left with the impression that the owners prioritized their business interests over the comfort and well-being of their guests. When a property knows that major construction work is likely to significantly impact the guest experience, the very least it should do is inform guests before they book so they can make an informed decision. In my case, I was only informed after I had already arrived, when it was far too late to change my plans. I find this completely unacceptable. If you are considering staying at this villa and are sensitive to noise or construction disturbances, I strongly recommend contacting the property beforehand to confirm the current situation. This important information was certainly not communicated transparently when I made my reservation.

O Onyx Park Resort Ubud acaba por ser o nosso hotel favorito de toda a nossa viagem de Bali!Ficámos impressionados com a reserva inicial de apenas 2 dias e reservar para ficar uma semana inteira e poderia facilmente ter ficado mais tempo. Os quartos são espaçosos com um Grande banheiro, área de cozinha, sofá, varanda e vistas lindas.O hotel TEM várias piscinas, um Grande ginásio, vários restaurantes e um bar suave. Acabámos de relaxar no resort e nem sequer saímos do hotel por alguns dias, só comemos nos restaurantes do resort. O pessoal era incrivelmente amigável e útil, e a localização era um táxi curto para todos OS lugares turísticos / o principal centro de Ubud. Honestamente, não podemos recomendar este lugar o suficiente.Perfeito para uma estadia relaxante em Ubud!

Lovely room and very attentive staff. Felt nice and remote and very peaceful with a romantic feel. Bath was very large which was a plus for me. The staff were able to help me with scooter rental, find a local spa for a massage (when EVERYONE seemed to be fully booked) and were always very friendly. Breakfast was nice but always 30 mins later or earlier than requested. No onsite restaurant so any lunch or dinner orders through the hotel were from a restaurant located 30 mins away and food took an hour and was completely cold by the time it arrived.

O hotel também é bom, na verdade, tem duas piscinas, restaurante perto da piscina e da praia… no entanto, já está antigo e precisa de manutenção; as toalhas e as comodidades do quarto também estão velhas e sem manutenção… mas, no geral, é bom se os pontos negativos forem aceitáveis.

Check in was smooth. Staffs were friendly. Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking. In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception. If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception. If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant. Thumbs up though for the housekeeping, as the found out I had many shirts lying on the sofa, they brought a small clothes rack and hung my shirts.

Quartos espaçosos, ótimo café da manhã, com muitas opções de comida variada. Piscina limpa, embora um pouco antiquada. A limpeza nos quartos pode ser melhorada, há manchas nos banheiros e no chão dos chuveiros. Isso é desagradável. Os funcionários são muito gentis e gentis. Eles fornecem toalhas para nadar e adaptadores para telefones, caso você não tenha. Em geral, eles estão preparados para receber convidados de todo o mundo. Se definitivamente recomendo este lugar e minha família e eu voltaremos.

We love heritage buildings and vintage style, so these little bungalows were perfect for us. They were a little walk away from the reception (no buggy!) which meant so peaceful and quiet! Gorgeous wooden bedroom and bathroom. The shower is a little outdated and when I first turned it on there was a sulphuric smell which was a bit concerning. Basically, if you like rustic, no frills, no extra service etc then these are a lovely cute experience. However, if you want luxury and are squeamish about old style open homes, this isn't for you. Breakfast was very basic so we generally ate out. The main receptionist was a lovely gentlemen, a very quick registration and we were in! Rooms were clean and nice and dark for a cosy sleep at night.
