is highly recommended. The hotel is located at the Qiongtai Scenic Spot, approximately 300 meters from the base of the cable car and 50 meters from the bus stop, at an altitude of nearly 1000 meters. This is an ideal location for exploring Wudangshan. The staff is exceptionally friendly and very helpful. I was repeatedly and pleasantly surprised by how much everyone cared for a foreigner without any knowledge of Chinese. The hotel's restaurant offers local and Taoist specialties. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is elegant and meditative. The rooms are spacious with fantastic mountain views. I felt very comfortable for a week – nothing was lacking. Bonus: the five cats also take excellent care of the guests, especially during nighttime strolls. Note: you must take the last bus to the cable car (Qiongtai) at 5 pm, otherwise you will remain in the valley (no exceptions).

If you don’t speak the local language, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It was incredibly difficult getting both on, and off the mountain “scenic area”. Some hotels in Trip reached out to us in advance to help coordinate transportation, this one does not. Your only way to contact the hotel is by calling, which isn’t feasible if you don’t speak the language. The hotel website showed that parking was available, so I thought we would be able to get there by DiDi, as long as I paid the fee to get the car into the park. This was not the case. We did see private vehicles, but I’m not sure what goes into that, but I believe 4 wheel drive is one requirement. So with our luggage, he dropped us off at the base of the mountain. It took a little while to get to the ticket office, you have to walk up several stairs and through a cobblestone market to get there, so we got nice and sweaty and uncomfortable. From there, you take a bus (ours had no underside luggage stowage) about halfway up to another stop. We had to awkwardly hold our luggage in the aisle of a full bus, while going up-hill and doing switch-backs. Everyone gets off about halfway-way up, at a station with several different buses. We asked for help and someone pointed us to the correct one. From the final bus stop up top, it was a short walk to the hotel. We figured going down would be much smoother, but after getting off the first bus, we accidentally got on the wrong one and started going back up. Overall, took us about 2.5 hours from the airport to the hotel, then just over three hours from hotel to the HSR station.
Minor descriptions for the room were inaccurate. Ours was listed as on floor 3 or 4, it was actually basement level. The hotel is in the edge of the mountain, so it still had a scenic view. The window in our room was dirty (I expected more for what we were paying). The hand soap in the bathroom was in a re-used bottle and was watered down. Listed amenities said sauna and massage room, there are neither here (nor was there an offer of other local places to go when I asked).
The breakfast food was amazing, including a hot, fresh bar with a chef making eggs and noodles. I wasn’t able to partake in the noodles one day because of the language barrier. Hotel staff was more hesitant than other places we’ve stayed in using translation tools and I felt like too much of an inconvenience in using them to ask for noodles. There is bottled water in the rooms, you can ask for more for free (they friended me via WeChat on Check-In and is largely how we communicated). There is free tea and snacks in the afternoon, the hotel was quiet so we were able to take up one of two seats that had an amazing view outside. The staff working the tea time was great and super courteous. You can hike to South Crag Palace and Nanyan Palace by foot, both are absolutely stunning.
In summary, if we were to visit the area again, I would stay at a hotel at the bottom of the mountain (not in the scenic area) and use the day exploring/getting lost on the bus. While the view was great, it simply wasn’t worth the high price and the difficulty in getting there for non-locals. If I knew a hotel in the scenic area would reach out to me in advance to assist, then I would go for it. But unfortunately, with the way Trip.com works right now, hotels have to initiate that, guests cannot. I don’t recommend this hotel for non-native speakers.

Instead the workers don't speaks English or other language likes is usual on China, my experience was the best. They have made everything to makes me feel confortable and we could communicate In different ways, using translators, or gestures or a little words on Mandarin and English.. I feel them really like a family now especially Lidan, one great woman that was my guard angel there and teach Taichi and Guquin on that place and Shao Hu who takes me to the hospital when I was ill. It's a good place to get immerse on China culture. You can also learn calligraphy or take lesson's about Tea sommelier not only martial Arts.. It is more than a hotel. You can have a nice experience there and is near Wudang mountain. They also sell tea and clothes.

Excellent and beautiful hotel located strategically at the nanyan area right beside the bus boarding area. Excellent service and friendly staff. Gave us green bean cakes for tea. Highly recommend. Only gripe I have was the wooden bed which has a screeching sound whenever you turn on the bed or get off the bed. Otherwise everything was great!

This hotel has become my go-to when visiting Wudangshan. The staff is always exceptionally attentive, caring, and proactive. The rooms are great, every day they bring a plate of fruits for the room, and the facilities are very well kept. The location is convenient, within walking distance from the town center but just away enough so that is peaceful and quiet. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel if you're able to find a room, as they are quite often booked up.

Pros: Excellent location, hotel itself is well
decorated. Very clean. The room is
comfortable. The staff are very friendly.
Breakfast was delicious and nice to have
some western style choices.
Cons: On our last day morning, the big, heavy
window shutter fell off the frame while I
was nearby and my forehead got hurt
slightly. The hotel manager offered to
change rooms for us, but because it was
our last day there we decided to stay in the
same room. No more compensation was
offered to us.
There should be a mini fridge and
microwave oven in the room, due to no
lunch and dinner availability, except for
private parties.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right below the cable car. The staff are also very friendly. We were able to catch the first cable car up to the Golden Summit the next day, and upon returning, enjoy a hot buffet breakfast, which helped ease our fatigue without having to hunt for food on an empty stomach. The observation deck on our floor also offered expansive views of the First Mountain, which was truly beautiful. The several aunties working there took great care of us, especially our housekeeper Cheng Hongxia and Auntie Yang Guimei. They were warm and thoughtful, anticipating our needs. Five-star rating!

My stay at the Vienna International Hotel was excellent! The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city near Wuyi Square and just steps away from the busy pedestrian street. It was so convenient to walk to all the shops, restaurants, and nightlife.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and the room was spacious. Being so close to the subway station made it incredibly easy to get to all the attractions like Orange Island and the train station. If you want to be in the center of everything in Changsha, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!
