It was a pleasant stay as the staff are very friendly and even offer early check in. However, they started suspecting or accusing my friend as a parcel thief on the second night. Just because she has a lot of taobao parcel coming in. We were told to collect or take our parcel from the cabinet. So we did as what we were told to do. On the subsequent day, my friend was being judge and question when she is collecting her parcel. They keep asking her did she took the parcel. She already told them no. The 3 of us didn’t even see any parcel that doesn’t belong to us. On the last day, upon leaving the hotel, they questioned her with the screenshot of the cctv footage of her taking the similar parcel. As if she is the thief, this whole experience is really uncomfortable and totally spoilt our holiday mood. My friend even show the counter staff her taobao transaction to prove that the parcel as shown on the cctv footage is her. I don’t know the free gift is it to compensate us for accusing my friend as a thief or a genuine gift. Actually I heard a lot of the parcel thief occurring, the management should follow what Amari or some other hotel parcel collection system. They will keep the parcel for the guest and ask the guest for the first name and last 4 digit of the phone number. They shouldn’t accuse the guest and not admitting is their own management system problem.

I stayed at Novotel Haikou West Coast for 6d5n. There are a few ways to travel from Haikou Meilan Airport to the hotel. The most convenient option is definitely taking Didi. The ride usually takes around 40–50 minutes depending on traffic, and the total fare is approximately RMB 70+. Another option is taking the railway. You would first need to buy a railway ticket to Haikou Railway Station, which costs around RMB 10 and wait for the departure time. After arriving at Haikou Railway Station, you will have to take Didi to the hotel for around RMB 15. There are also buses available, although I did not personally try this option during my trip. The hotel provides free laundry facilities including washing machines, dryers, detergent, and even disinfectant for laundry use. Everything worked properly and the dryer actually dried the clothes well, which was very convenient for travellers. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pillow and bed were cozy, the air-conditioning worked very well, and the room felt warm and relaxing. Daily housekeeping replenished 2 bottles of mineral water and 3 complimentary beverages (sparkling water, Coke, and milk), which was a nice touch. The staff were also accommodating. They allowed me to extend my checkout by 2 hours, which normal check out timing is at 12pm. (additional late checkout charges at rmb40/hr). I am staying at level 4 (total there are 5 levels). I was lucky enough to get a room on the same floor as the gym and laundry area, which made everything very convenient. In terms of location, I think it depends on the purpose of your stay. If your main plan is visiting attractions in the city area every day, this may not be the most convenient option as travelling usually takes around 30–40 minutes by car and each trip can cost around RMB 30+ – 40+ depending on traffic. However, if you are looking for a relaxing hotel stay near the west coast area, this hotel is actually a very good choice. One thing to note is that there are not many eateries nearby. The nearest convenient shopping mall area is called Yuanda (well known one), where you can find restaurants, supermarkets, and snacks. You can take didi there at Rmb 5 to 10 or you can walk there also, but I dont suggest. The only downside for me was that I occasionally noticed cigarette smoke smell in some common areas, and there was a slight dried seafood/damp smell when I return to my room after a day, which may be related to the coastal location but there is a ventilation in the room . Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. *Sorry for the photo quality. I only recorded videos of the room during my stay, so these are screenshots taken from the videos.

The exceptional service provided by the hotel manager and staff made all the difference. They attended to my VIP requests with remarkable care and attention to detail, ensuring that my needs were met with utmost precision. The hotel manager went above and beyond with personalized off-property recommendations, guiding me to the best local gems—from a vibrant jazz bar to a charming walking street and an exquisite French restaurant. Every recommendation was a real treat, showcasing true VVIP bespoke butler-style service that made my trip even more special. I have traveled extensively across Asia, and I can confidently say that MOS Hotel Haikou holds a unique charm that is hard to find elsewhere. Moreover, during my stay, I was fortunate enough to participate in special edition events that showcased the island's vibrant culture and creativity. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and inspiration, making my visit even more memorable. As a film studio executive, I can say with certainty that MOS Hotel Haikou exceeded all my expectations and more. I left with a heart full of gratitude and inspiration, and I cannot wait to return to this extraordinary haven. Perfect hotel for our needs. Very close to the city centre and within the premises of a public park. It is also very convenient hailing the cab and there is a public bus station nearby, incase one needs to use the public bus. Hotel staff were very friendly and always willing to assist. I will sure come back to this hotel if there is need to book a hotel in Haikou in the near future.

The bathroom is huge and the bed is comfortable, but the daily cleaning touch-up is a hit or miss on my 6-night stay. I noticed hairs weren’t picked up around the toilet area as well as the drainage of the shower area. I don’t wish to have to tell the cleaning staff what they already know they should do. It’s up to the house-keeping managers to make sure the cleaners are doing their jobs properly. Besides that, the hotel is situated across from one of their more famous shopping centers (you do have to walk 15 minutes on a rainy day due to a road barrier), and only an 8-10 minute ride to another one, which greatly helped in me getting lunches and dinners on the ready. Noteworthy to mention, they have food delivery robots serving you your orders right to your room, which greatly helps in receiving food at any hour. I want to say some of the cleaning ladies were nice but others were apprehensive towards me which was somewhat annoying as I’ve been nothing but kind to them. I even made sure the room was kept relatively clean so they don’t have to do too much on a daily basis. Oh but one nice thing they did, which warmed me was the addition of an air-purifier in my room for my entire stay, as the room smelled funky every now and then but the machine kept it minimal.

Neat and funky, modern with some techy stuff. Bed was very comfortable, pillow was less ideal but suffices. Big room and spacious rest area which I like. The sound proofing was pretty decent so you don't hear the train passing by or the traffic noise, that is until your neighbour speaks loudly (thankfully not for long) or if someones slams the door hard (esp if you are sleeping). Great black out curtains which open on its own when you remove the key from its space and closes when you're stick it in (think it depends on how you set it before you leave the room). Bathroom was also splendid. As was the nespresso coffee- great for waking me up. A very comfortable place of rest until the final night- we were told that the sensor malfunctioned, waking us up in the middle of the night- curtains opening on its own, air-conditioning suddenly switching off (no we didn't change any settings for that to happen), lights turning on all of a sudden. All good otherwise.

Overall a pleasant stay for us at this local hotel, which was one of the few that’s able to accommodate my wife and I plus our 3 children, in two connecting rooms. We stayed over 5 nights in this property. It served our purpose perfectly for a short stay at a convenient location served directly by a bus service with the airport. We arrived hours ahead due to changes in flight schedule, but the front desk was very generous and checked us in as soon as the rooms were ready, that's great customer service 👍 The rooms were large and well stocked with the necessary essentials including rubber slippers. There were 2 bathrooms+toilets as well as an additional standalone WC ~ more than enough for our use and made the stay even more pleasant. There was a large living room with an adjacent study area equipped with desk, chair and power outlets, that's shielded off the noise from living room - a great addition for those who needed space to get some work done. The hotel is located in a convenient location that's close to local food places and simple shopping. There's a supermarket in a building basement about two blocks away that's well stocked. You can even get a quick haircut for RMB15 in the same basement for those (guys) who don't care much about style 😂 There are LUCK IN coffee, Mixue, KFC, local eateries, street food, and restaurants all within short walk of about 200m. One thing great about this hotel is the bus transport serving Meilan airport that starts and ends at this property, costing just RMB20 per person per direction. Each hotel booking apparently entitled the guest one free ticket! We departed the hotel on this bus which took about 50 mins to reach the airport, as it made a few scheduled stops along the way and was driven at a slow steady bus speed. That perfectly solved the trouble and costs of having to book 2 taxis due to number of people and luggages, right at the hotel door step! One attraction of the hotel was the hot spring available in the bathroom via a large wooden tub, as well as one outside the hotel for guests. I saw some guests using the public pool which would involve walking out of the hotel in bathrobes and slippers onto the driveway and all. We’re not the hot spring type so no comments, but this feature may appeal to others. Some negative points that prevented the property having full 5 stars: - Erratic WiFi connection - the WiFi sometimes would have no Internet connection, randomly, it could be evening or even morning when everyone was sleeping and not many devices connected. As we had two rooms technically so there were two WiFi logins for our use. Sometimes one would work and not the other and at different times. Sometimes the connection would be lost halfway while using. It’s really irritating. We made multiple feedback but nothing had improved. - the property is really aged and a refresh is badly needed. It’s livable and generally clean for sure, but the decor, style and musky smell especially in the hallways, were unmistakable. According to the plague near the main entrance, the property was completed around the 2000s, that’s time for university graduation if this were a person😀

I booked the honeymoon suite because I wanted to treat myself—even though I’m a solo traveler. The first room I was given smelled terrible, like someone had smoked in a non-smoking room. I told the front desk, and they were kind enough to change my room. The new room smelled much better. The tub was amazing, the shower was great, and the bed was super soft and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was really fast. The staff didn’t speak English very well, but they helped me as much as they could. The location wasn’t ideal—I had to take a DiDi or a bus everywhere since most places were quite far, even by car. The restaurant didn’t have many vegetarian options, so I usually ate out. I never found the pool, even though the hotel was supposed to have one. Other than that, I had a nice stay, and I really loved the bed I was also glad they offered some delicious coconut snacks during my stay—I liked them so much that I ended up buying more at a local gift shop since I didn’t see them in the hotel’s own shop!

A família dormiu no almoço e lavava o chá para IR Ao aeroporto.
