My stay at the Moxy Chicago was fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant, modern, and welcoming. The room was thoughtfully designed—every inch of space was used efficiently without sacrificing comfort or style. One of my favorite parts was spending time on the outdoor patio. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beautiful weather, and chat. The lobby was full of life with a great DJ creating a fun vibe, and I appreciated that the snack and drink selection included quality options instead of just typical junk food. We were even welcomed with complimentary drinks, which was a really nice touch. Throughout our stay, we always felt safe, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I also loved that the lounge areas and games weren’t just there for decoration—they were actually being enjoyed by guests, making the hotel feel social and inviting. It’s clear that the Moxy was designed to bring people together while still providing a comfortable place to unwind. This stay completely won me over. My next hotel stay will definitely be at a Moxy property. I can’t wait to experience another location, and I would highly recommend Moxy Chicago to anyone looking for a fun, stylish, and memorable stay in the city!

We stayed at tons of Marriott properties around Chicago and this was in our top 3. Location is top in the heart of River North, there is another ”super fancy” Residence but at that location all the employees had attitude and it felt really weird. This is the best one. I felt like I could live here, the staff are all really capable, at one point my living room TV wasn't working (someone had plugged it in wrong) and they had a maintenance tech up there in less than 15 minutes. They also called to follow up and make sure I was taken care of, which really impressed me. Free breakfast is very good. The only ”note” I would say is that this is a building where you have to take 2 elevators to reach your rooms, one to the main lobby and then a second to the rooms. The ”close” button is normally in the same place in every elevator but in this one it's the ”Call for Help” button, so I accidentally reached the elevator techs who asked if I was trapped, haha. I ended up doing this a few times, so if you're an ”always press close button” person make sure you find the right button first!

Location is good with a beautiful view. Just a heads up bring your own slipper and dental kit and drinking water because they don’t have complimentary of such. Overall we had a great sleep and we enjoyed our stay.

The room was super clean and spacious. Cleaning ladies were very nice. The girls at the front desk were super friendly, some guys not so much. If you want to cook in the room, you can request some cooking pots, but they were overused and scratched. Their free breakfast is decent. Very nice gym with a peloton bike. Overall, I think this is good option for longer time stay.

Nice place to stay. Excellent location, breakfast was decent, room was very clean and cleaned really quickly. Bed was comfortable and the Internet worked well. Room was also quite big with a nice view. Also, had no issues with using the elevators but I guess this was because it was low season.

Perto de alguns pontos turísticos famosos, como Cloud Gate (o ”feijão”), ponto de partida da Rota 66, etc. 4. Água mineral gratuita; o único hotel em que nos hospedamos nos EUA que ofereceu esse serviço. 5. A 10 minutos a pé da estação de metrô mais próxima. Contras 1. Antigo; algumas instalações do quarto estavam soltas e mal fixadas, como a torneira. 2. Poucas opções de restaurantes nas proximidades. 3. Paguei a diária online integralmente antes da chegada, mas o hotel ainda me cobrou o mesmo valor no check-in. One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming. The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly. Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises. I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again.
