Хороший вариант для транзитной остановки при поездках. В 100 метрах автобусный терминал, откуда можно уехать в Бангкок, на Самуи или Пхукет. Отель очень чистый, есть wi-fi, скромные завтраки: фрукты, кофе, рис, яйцо, какие то местные блюда. Останавливались уже второй раз. Персонал доброжелателен. В полукилометре огромный торговый центр с большим выбором . 

The hotel was ok nothing special, however I only stayed 1 night as I was just passing through. 7 11 very close along with a small market and a walk over a little bridge to the smallest named island ive ever been to in Thailand.

Só fiquei uma noite. O quarto era espaçoso... dá para perceber que não é novo e o design/mobiliário lembra um dormitório. O ar-condicionado funcionou bem e havia tomadas perto das camas para carregarmos os celulares. A pressão da água era muito alta (o que adoramos). Não havia escova de dentes... Talvez houvesse uma loja de animais no térreo, mas a noite toda ouvimos barulho de animais. Que pena 🤔 Tem uma loja de conveniência 7-Eleven e um ponto de ônibus perto (para poder pegar um ônibus para as ilhas). Funcionários prestativos.

設施：房間內微波爐，咖啡機，盤子碗都有。 衞生：很乾凈。兩個洗手間，有一個帶淋浴。泳池很乾凈。 環境：依山而建，所以沒有那種園林式的感覺， 都是一棟棟的別墅。有點兒偏僻，適合自駕。 服務：辦理入住的美女非常熱情有禮貌。 如果有車非常推薦此酒店，唯一不足的是洗澡間花灑出水太小了，希望改進。

If you do not have transport rely on Public transport..Taxi etc.. Than this place may not be convinence,nearest 7-11 shop is about 500 meter one way.... walk About 1 km to central shop for decent dining..... One way... Room size is Fair.. not the biggest.... About 20 sq. Meter.. Just Bread and instant coffee morning complimentary....I think this is more of a slightly higher end travelling salesman hotel.... Perfect for overnight.... Simple Breakie, coffee.. than hit the road...

The hotel is aging but fine. The location doesn't have a lot but it's pretty 'central', as far as anything is in the town. It was fine for one night while we were transiting. Good shower, nice pool, good BBQ down the street.

Very average hotel for the price. Rooms were big. Air conditioning could not be switched off (can change temp) in room... had to be done by hotel. I got many mosquito bites in breakfast/lobby area. The breakfast is brought in and heated up, which means no requests.

A Fading Gem with a Fantastic Breakfast The Wang Tai Hotel feels like a grand dame from a bygone era. Walking into the lobby, you can see it was once a truly luxurious place, and that sense of scale and history is still there. However, it's clear the hotel is in need of a bit of a makeover. While everything is clean, the decor and some furnishings feel a little tired and dated. That minor point aside, our stay was very pleasant. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, always going out of their way to assist us. The breakfast, however, was a wonderful and unexpected highlight! Instead of a standard buffet, it's ordered a la carte from a menu. Don't let that worry you the range is huge, covering both Thai and Western options. Everything we ordered was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. It felt more like a restaurant experience than a hotel breakfast. The large swimming pool is a major plus – perfect for a refreshing dip and lounging in the sun. The location is also very good, making it a convenient base for exploring Surat Thani. In summary, if you can look past the slightly worn edges, The Wang Tai Hotel offers incredible value, spearheaded by a stellar breakfast, great pool, and excellent service. A little refurbishment would easily make this a 5-star experience again.

The place felt dated but was ok overall. The bed felt a bit dusty to be honest and they only provided 2 pillows.
