The hotel is conveniently situated 15 minutes away from the airport by the hotel shuttle bus, situated in an industrial area close to the airport. The hotel itself was great, clean, and comfortable, and had all the things you needed for a good stay and overnight quiet sleep. The room itself was great. I had some confusion when I got up in the morning to get the shuttle bus to the airport at 5.30 am But was told the only shuttle bus had left at 5 am! Why did someone not clearly explain this to me? Most hotels I have stayed at near the airport in the past, have shuttle buses every 30 minutes to the airport in the early mornings. I sought the help of the young girl receptionist to assist me in getting a taxi quickly. But she seemed annoyed that I had disturbed her early morning routine when she was only interested in completing her phone video game! And not helping me! Unbelievable! The girl receptionist said that the Hotel does not have a contact taxi service. I gave the receptionist my phone and she finally found a taxi service and I made it to the airport. My Chinese was not good enough to do all this myself. But overall, a good nights stay and a good hotel.

Honest Review of The Madison Hotel, Jinan – Good but Not 4-Star Standard According to Trip.com’s grading system, The Madison Hotel is listed as a Trip Plus 4-star hotel, but based on our recent stay, we believe it falls short of that rating. While we had a mostly pleasant experience, there were noticeable issues that prevent us from agreeing with the 4-star classification. The Positives - Check-in & Staff: The reception team was friendly, and one staff member could communicate a little in English, which was helpful. - Room Comfort: Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked well and allowed individual adjustment. - Amenities: We appreciated the complimentary bottled waters and two soft drinks restocked daily in the fridge. - Location: The hotel is conveniently located inside Wanda Mall, making shopping and dining easily accessible. The Negatives (Why It’s Not 4-Star) - Cleanliness Issues: The room wasn’t cleaned to a 4-star (or even 3-star) standard. We found nail clippings on the bedside mat, indicating poor vacuuming. - Shower Water Pressure: The water pressure in the shower was quite low, which was inconvenient. - Breakfast Limitations: While the Asian food options were good, there were very few Western choices. Additionally, the Western cutlery felt sticky and wasn’t properly cleaned. - Staff Sleeping at Reception: On our second morning, when we tried to check out early, the reception staff were asleep on the couches. We understand they may have been exhausted, but this is unprofessional for a 4-star hotel. Final Verdict The Madison Hotel is a decent option, but we’d rate it as a solid 3-star hotel, not 4-star. If you prioritize location and comfort over luxury service and cleanliness, it’s a reasonable choice. However, management should address housekeeping and staff training to meet higher standards. Would we stay again? Possibly, but with adjusted expectations. Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) – Good, but not 4-star.

The hotel is well located and close to the station. It's a good choice for business trips. The breakfast is nice, overall it's okay, and the front desk service is also good.

房間非常乾淨整潔，寬敞明亮，離黑虎泉非常近，去寬厚裏很近，有機會再去還要入住這裏。最主要有免費地下停車場，非常適合自駕。早餐種類也十分豐富，絕對值得推薦！

We were traveling on business to Jinan when we stayed here. The location is very good with Jinanxi railway station nearby. The staff were polite and rooms were clean. There is a laundry with a drier which was helpful as we were travelling light on the trip. There is also a very basic gym for all those who want to keep healthy even during travel. One thing which needs improvement is the morning breakfast. Everything was over at 8:15 AM in the morning which was a bummer as the breakfast timings are from 7 AM to 9 AM and we had already paid for it while booking.

This is a wonderful hotel that I happened to be checked in because my original hotel told me that they do not accept foreigners. I have a student visa in China as I am studying in Beijing and decided to travel to Jinan/Qufu on a weekend. Out in the cold at 6 a.m., I reached out to Trip and told the customer service representatived named Russel about my problem. He was quick to help me out. Basically, he booked this hotel for me in exchange of the original booking. Vienna Hotel was far superior than the hotel I originally booked. The hotel wifi is fast, the room is clean, the bathroom is exceptional, and the lobby does not smell of cigarette smoke. I love the front desk officers for checking me in at 9 a.m. They must have noticed how tired I was. The hotel also has a dining area for breakfast. The booking I had did not come with free breakfast but you can pay extra for a decent breakfast with a variety of dishes to choose from. This hotel is not within the city center though but it is close to a subway stop, only 8-10 RMB for a Didi ride. On my second day in Jinan, I left most of my things in my room to head to Qufu, the birthplace of Confucius. I was confident that my things are safe in my room. My two-night stay here really gave me time to rest and relax. Would I stay here again? The answer is a definite ”yes!”
