"Cons: -Reception closed after 7PM till next day morning! Please beware if you are checking in after 7PM. I reached there around 6.45PM, but already no one there. But there is a notice at the door saying we can contact someone to collect room key. Afterall, we are able to checkin successfully. -No lift. I carried my luggage up 2 floors. I know I can't complain with the price I paid. -No hairdryer. Since the reception is closed, I gave up asking the staff for help. -Looks like this hotel changed its name, now managed by someone else. I am guessing bcs of this, there is no manpower for the reception. Pros: -High value for money, this makes me come back in the future -Spacious room, compared to other hotels with the same price, cleanliness is also good -Quiet environment for me, although it might look a bit creepy at night for someone -Coway water dispenser machine at reception, although the lights are all off since reception is closed. -Ample parking for free. Not private parking by the hotel so I guess there are some kind of small charges by the city council (MBMB) -I actually called the hotel's local line on the checkin day (apparently that time the reception is still open) to confirm my booking. The staff over the phone was nice and polite. *Sry for the messy room as I only took it during checkout"

A localização é próxima de atrações turísticas e facilita o deslocamento, mas a rua em frente ao hotel é um pouco assustadora à noite devido ao grande fluxo de veículos."

"Nice budget hotel. Sure, there was no TV, wifi was splotchy due to upgrading works, an occasional mosquito that probably flew in from outside. Otherwise, cannot beat the service - very nice friendly staff - always ready to help, can store luggage for short period before check in and after check out, clean space, comfy bed, aircon was great, toiletries smell nice, powerful rainshower and gorpeous toilet bowl with all the electric works. Also, location, location, location. Appreciate being able to pop in and out to escape the heat and rest between visits to attractions. Great food stores, 24hr convenience stores and atmospheric cafes nearby. Despite being so close to Jonker street weekend night market, it was pretty quiet, allowing for good sleep. Definitely coming back on next trip to Malacca."

"No toothbrush, no toothpaste, no body shampoo or hair shampoo, just a handwash in a mould toilet. Staff just tell things out of stock! Have mosquitos and itchy when sleeping not sure if the bedsheets are cleaned.."

"The hotel has provided the facilities as committed in their booking-page in the acceptable condition to their customer, i.e. me. Despite it is a budget hotel only and the overall appearance is slightly vintage :D, the room, the bed/mattress/blanket, bathroom, showering water heater, etc. are still clean and in acceptable condition. Besides, if communicated/spoken to the hotel, it has self check-in option for the check-in after business operation hour, i.e. mid night. Travelers can acquire the room key/card by themselves from a locker with a provided pin code. These enable me to have a good rest after making an urgent booking in night time, travel over 100km then reach the hotel at 1.30 a.m. mid night. The attached photos show the self check-in/out facility, public drinking-water-dispenser and fire extinguisher. Although I can't expect much from a budget, I would like to suggest that the air-con in the room to have service/maintenance so that it won't produce much noise. By the way, the noise only distract us slightly from having rest. After all, based on the offered/discounted price, the room is satisfactory and recommended."

"The room is clean, beds are comfortable, shampoo & soap are provided (have to bring your own dental & hair grooming products), the service is warm, friendly & helpful, and checking in & out was very quick. Also, there’s a water dispenser so you can top up water bottles and complimentary luggage storage service is provided to do more sightseeing after check out or waiting to check in. The only downside is that there’s no lift so unless you are staying in the family suites on the ground level, have to lug all your stuff up the staircase to the 2nd floor."

"Stayed here many times! Love the family room (2 bedrooms with fridge and microwave). This hotel is well maintained, room still looks new despite its age. The shopping mall is just across the road. Easily walkable to Jonker syreet and dutch square/atyractions. Great location at attractive room rate."

"I stayed at Asiatic Hotel Melaka and booked the Family Suite with jacuzzi. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a living area, balcony, and in-room spa bath. While it’s not a true duplex layout, the suite still felt roomy and comfortable for families or groups. The jacuzzi was definitely the highlight – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Amenities such as WiFi, smart TV, minibar, and toiletries were all provided, making the stay convenient. Parking is available in front of the hotel, free but limited on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you arrive during peak hours, you might need to circle around to find a spot. Location is excellent – close to major attractions like Jonker Street, A Famosa, and shopping malls (Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade). There are plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby, so dining is not an issue even though the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant. One small downside is the soundproofing; you can sometimes hear noise from the hallway. The lift is also on the smaller side, so it can get busy during peak times. Overall, Asiatic Hotel Melaka is a great choice if you want a spacious suite with jacuzzi, free parking, and a central location. It’s comfortable and good value, especially for families or friends traveling together."
