"I booked a bed in the female dormitory for 2 nights, my friends booked other beds/rooms. The hostel has all the necessary amenities. There is even a washing machine if you need to do laundry. The bedding was fresh and clean. Plenty of sockets for charging devices. You will need to bring your own shower gel for the shower and the toilets are squat toilets which is standard in China. Met a lovely German girl while staying here. The host is a lovely and very helpful woman, she assisted us with any queries and even gave us some watermelon while we waited for our driver. If you want to visit any of the popular tourist spots in the Zhangye area she can organise a car tour for you and very reasonable prices- all very easy through WeChat. I visited the rainbow mountains/Zhangye National Geopark/Zhangye Danxia Geopark (张掖国家地质公园) and Mati Si temple (马蹄寺) while in Zhangye. The hostel is in a very good location too. The common area is nice and there is a tea station where you can help yourself to a cup of tea. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would stay here again."

"We booked a room here for the day we arrived in Zhangye as we just wanted a basic accomodation to relax in the evening. When booking I unfortunately didnt realize that I booked a room without AC (it was there but not connected), but that was our oversight. IF you are sensitive about sleeping with warm temperatures, this might not be the ideal place for you during summer, as the room was significantly warmer than the outside temperature at night. Otherwise, everything was fine - easy to reach by taxi, great price, just the bed is on the harder side."

The shared bathrooms were also clean (the staff cleans them several times a day).
