The Owner is incredibly friendly, I was stuck here during a hurricane day and together with her partner she made food for all of us :) Other than that the Dorm, while huge, is comfy the beds have curtains and are clean and comfortable. Showers and toilets are nothing special but very clean which is the most important part. Overall great place to stay in Taitung, they even give lots of recommendations which are great if you can’t be asked to pick out where to eat.

Great site overall! Only slight issue I ran into was that the rooms, although they had AC, were really moist - everything in there was slightly wet to the touch, I assume because of poor insulation or ventilation. Slightly further out the way compared to a lot of the hostels but not at all a trouble when you have a bike. Great facilities across the site - the main areas of reception and rooftop were lovely to hang out. Staff were friendly and helpful. Organised diving through them which I loved.

I highly recommend this hotel for all travellers, especially foreigners - note I was a self-drive so the location wasn't an issue. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by a lovely young lady who came outside to show me my car space. Her equally-lovely colleague then assisted in checking me in and making me feel very welcome. I was given a map of the local area and some suggested eating spots. They also helped in charging my phone. The girls' spoke enough English to help me, and the breakfast at a nearby cafe was great. The room was exactly what I needed - a very clean room, comfortable bed, and nice warm shower. I am going to stay again next time I visit beautiful Taiwan.

Despite this, it's worth noting that the basic amenities and necessities were provided. While some aspects may not be perfect, the affordability of the accommodation must be taken into account when evaluating the overall value. In conclusion, ”It's Mine Hostel” in Taidong is an okay option for travelers on a budget. It is worth noting that the hostel has a relaxed atmosphere. it provides basic amenities and cleanliness. 自行車友善 騎樓可以停放 整理車袋和打氣都不用擔心下雨 自助辦理入住很方便 房間要插房卡才能有電 冷氣和燈才會運作 房卡和鑰匙是一整串在一起的 房間空間足夠 有一張椅子和一個矮桌 有附許多衣架和掛勾 走廊空間 洗手台區的燈是感應的 人少的時候 （當天感覺整棟只有我）有點暗 女生專用的浴室 馬桶座墊和洗臉台的鏡前架 用衛生紙沾水擦有些黃褐色的漬 但肉眼看都蠻正常的 不確定是什麼 沐浴乳的按壓按鈕壓不動 但洗髮精的按鈕是正常的 不過我自己習慣帶肥皂 所以沐浴乳的問題不影響我 吹風機的線整理得超工整 整個洗手區都很整齊美觀 有冰箱可以使用 一樓也有飲水機 廁所和房間 都蠻好看的 離車站很近 但我覺得沒有聲音 可能剛好班次也不算多 睡得很好

This is a really cosy place. I really love my room. Clean and modern interior. The only downside might be the location. It's close to the train station. But there isn't much nearby for food. Probably best to rent a scooter to explore Taitung anyway to make your stay more convenient. They are plenty of scooter shops near the train station too.

Very uncomfortable bed. There was a spider in the bedroom. The bedsheets and the blanket always felt humid, so not nice at all. The bathroom floor was covered in water after showering… could be improved with a shower curtain or sth. The whole structure is quite old but I guess it’s what you get for a cheaper option. Also I was a bit concerned because there is no key, no lockers, no door key, and the main door is always open for guests. And there are quite many people coming and going, staying in other rooms upstairs. I would have preferred some level of security for valuables. They provide car pick-up and drop-off at the pier with the car. You can rent a e-bike from them for 600ntd/day (e-bike for foreigners without international license), it is quite expensive but I’ve called other rental shops and they said the same price… the lady also gave me a raincoat at least!
