"My stay at City Yiman Hotel was overall pleasant. The cleanliness was good, with the rooms and common areas well-maintained. The location was excellent, as it was conveniently close to Shantang Street and Hanshan Temple, making it easy to explore Suzhou’s attractions. The service was average, staff were polite but not exceptionally attentive. The amenities were also average, while the basics were provided, I expected more in terms of extra comforts or facilities. Since I traveled with my friend, the hotel worked fine for our needs, but it might not be ideal for those seeking luxury or top-tier services. If you’re looking for a decent, well-located stay without too many frills, this hotel is a reasonable choice."

"Loved the quietness here & slept very well. Many local foods noodles & rice nearby to eat around. This is a really quiet town to get away from the touristy & city center. However, metro travel time is 1hr from the Suzhou city center, do allocate longer buffer time ahead. If you are expecting to arrive in the middle of night, do msg the hotel earlier. We arrived very late at 12am for check in & the host is very nice to pick us up with a trishaw at the gate entrance so we don’t need to walk with our luggage in the middle of the night. During checkout, the host dropped us off at the gate too."

The inner room features a large bed, making it essentially a suite with an inner and outer room. Having two separate bathrooms and shower areas perfectly solves the awkwardness of a family sharing one bathroom. The inner room also has a small rattan chair, and there's a lovely little courtyard with a small table and chairs, plus a small pond. It would be even more perfect if there were some small fish in the pond! The owner thoughtfully subscribed to a VIP service for the projector in the room, so watching shows was uninterrupted. There's also a mahjong machine in the room. As we were leaving, the owners were cooking up a storm, and the aroma was absolutely delicious – smelled like potato and chicken, haha! Suzhou is a very pleasant city with clean streets. It's definitely worth a visit!"
