Having traveled extensively and stayed in various accommodations, the quality of the rooms at your lodge did not meet our expectations, especially considering our previous stays in South Africa's 4 to 5-star establishments. The cost incurred far exceeded the level of comfort and quality we anticipated. The outdated decor, terrible smell , worn-out bathroom, exceptionally dirty windows in the toilet, old grey bedding, and old grey towels with frayed edges were disheartening. The bedding felt uncomfortably hard, and the towels did not convey a sense of freshness. The overall ambiance of the room was far from relaxing, and the balcony, which was dull and dark with basic plastic chairs and insufficient space, did not provide a conducive environment for unwinding. This starkly contrasted with the vibrant and new images displayed on your website, leading to a sense of disillusionment upon our arrival. While the staff deserves commendation for being delightful and helpful throughout our stay, the accommodation fell short of our expectations, significantly impacting our overall experience. We believe that a more accurate representation of the rooms on your website would have allowed us to make an informed decision about our stay. Regarding the meals, we understand the challenges of remote locations affecting food delivery. However, the quality of the meals did not meet our expectations, especially when compared to our positive experience at Rhino Ridge. Despite our efforts to coordinate dates to experience Thonga Beach, as reflected in our correspondence with Kerin, the subpar accommodation overshadowed our intentions, leaving us with an overall unhappy experience. i cant upload photos as yet due to a pc h=issue but will do indue course.
