Serene-estate Boutique Guesthouse

Fantastic experience. We spent 3 night with the whole family (4 pax, 2 rooms). The place is quite new and perfectly kept. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance from Main Street where all restaurants are and also fairly close to the beach. I’ve enjoyed going for a run in the neighborhood and to the beach. St. Lucia is a safe place with lots of hidden things to be seen. Our host, Ingrid, was absolutely fabulous and gave us excellent tips on excursions, restaurants, etc. breakfast is served outdoor with a nice view on the balcony and great fresh products. Absolutely recommended.

This guesthouse has a fabulous design. Each room has its private patio. The actual room must be at least 35sqm. With a huge workstation. A seating area. A good selection of voffee snd teas. A fridge. A king bed. A double vanity bathroom. A Separate loo. Huge shower plus a large bath. Each room had a colour code. We had the green room and yellow room. The lighting was really special. Head board had a subtle light. The side tables were also lit . Lovely lamps as well. The aircon and fan were life saver. The pool is set in a huge garden. Actually it was more like a private mini safari park. Visitors were Impala Warthog. Monkeys. A Guinea fowl family. And an amazing bird life. There was a community lounge area with a wonderful book selection. A honesty fridge filled with wine. Beer, juices plus a nespresso coffee machine . The breakfasts started with a different fruit/yogurt compote each morning... English muffins and croissants baked fresh every morning. Bacon&eggs to order. Each table was set up with a cheese board. Cold meat board. A selection of sliced fresh fruits: cherry, mango, kiwi fruit. The BEST pineapple. Strawberries. Black berries youngberrys. Yogurt. muesli. Cereals. The host Ingrid was warm &welcoming. She was a source of good information about the area. Places to visit and activities to enjoy. And advised on which restuarants to enjoy for different foods. Most importantly she told us which route the hippo... that walked up from the estuary every nite.... might take. On our last night we were lucky to witness this amaxing happening. I highly recommend SERENA-ESTATE, it is hands down the VERY BEST accommodation in St.Lucia. The hotels and other guesthouses can't compare. I'm talking from experience as we tried a few. Only ,to book out after an hour!

The friendly service, lovely location and excellent breakfast complete with Illy Cafe made for a perfect spot to make day excursions out into iSimangaliso Wetland Park, hippo cruises, beach and boardwalk hikes and local restaurants and shopping. If you plan to venture over to St. Lucia, look no further than a stay with Serene Estate.

We had a wonderful stay in a wonderful place. The rooms are beautiful and the whole place with swimming pool is well maintained. Excellent breakfast. The whole team was very friendly and gave us good advices to visit in the surroundings and good restaurant tips. We really enjoyed our trip to the Wetlands.

The rooms were very spacious. However, we were in the lower level and the room was so damp that our papers actually curled. All of our clothes felt damp. The flooring in the lower level rooms is some sort of very odd material like recycled rubber which is odd to walk on. The breakfast was excellent and the hostess very kind. Very clean. About a 15 min walk to town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Serene-estate Boutique Guesthouse and booked a 2-night stay. We were very well taken care of by Ingrid from the beginning of the reservation and she spared no effort to make everything comfortable for us all. The breakfast was out of this world - great variety and of high standard. The location and the ambiance were tranquil and felt you were in the nature completely. Hidden gem. Will be back.

We stayed here for 3 nights before heading back home to Germany after a 2 weeks vacation in South Africa. The guesthouse is located in a residential area in Saint Lucia - very quiet but everything can be reached by foot. We could explore the area (e.g. Wetlandpark, beaches) and also relax at the pool. We were coincidently the only guests those 3 days. The guesthouse is a beautiful architechture and the pride of the owner. The hosts were extremely friendly and they helped or gave any recommendations when needed. We enjoyed every minute there. The room was perfectly clean and the breakfast on the patio was more than perfect. The garden is more like a zoo rather than a garden. Unfortunately, we did not see any hippos there but all kinds of other animals. We can highly recommend the Serene-estate Boutique Guesthouse.

We stayed 4 nights in Serene. A very quite Place. Olga, the owner and Ingrid were very helpful, and Hans , the owner, a architect, who has built the house did a really good job. It is a beautiful house.

We came upon this guest house in St Lucia while trying to find somewhere to base our visits in St Lucia. The property is immaculately maintained and through the property we were able to book a boat tour and land tour into the reserve. Both tours were fantastic. The room was spacious and bed and bedding were top shelf. Breakfast was included with our stay, it was fresh and healthy. The pool was well maintained and was one of the first ones we used. This is higher end guesthouse and you pay a little more, but you get what you pay for. Olga was the perfect host who wanted to ensure our stay was memorable and seamless.
