Old Court House Inn

What a fantastic historical building with so many dining areas and well laid out bars. The authentic nature of the preserved interior really did add to the enjoyment of our stay. Our front bedroom overlooking the ancient harbour was very comfortable the bed firm yet soft giving us an excellent nights sleep each night.The spacious, en suite and the shower was fantastic and the cleanliness perfect. The carpet edging to the en-suite was loose however and a bit dangerous but reported. The breakfast choice was good although limited for non cooked breakfast guests, however this problem was resolved. The food was well presented but service was a bit slow at times, and the tables were not laid up correctly for breakfast service in the mornings. However the view from the fantastic dining room window over the harbour was great. Unfortunately the “fathers day” Sunday Lunch was a disappointment, half warm veg, unappetising York’s pudding , very pale roast potatoes and tasteless gravy, made it a meal to forget, and was nothing near the images shown on the advertising display for which the management appropriately apologised for. The Liberation beers were very nice and the food service as a whole was very good. All the staff were very polite and helpful at all times, and generally we were made to feel welcome.

3 of us ate here 1 night whilst on holiday, we had a lovely meal (we all had the same meal, stone bass and butter beans) very well cooked and well presented. Highlight was our wonderful waiter Daniel. He is a credit to the place. Only slight criticism is 2 of us were quite cold (we sat upstairs at the back and it was a chilly day) the restaurant wasn't very busy so not the usual atmosphere of a busy restaurant. But wouldn't hesitate to return.

Lovely marina view right on the bay! Fresh clean modern accommodation. we stayed for one night (couples weekend away) food and drink on point! Breakfast overlooking g the Bay was brilliant. Highly recommended. Hotel was roughly 60mins walk from airport and around 40 mins walk to germa fortifications prime location!

Cosy hotel overlooking St Aubin’s harbour. Only a short bus ride (number 15) from the airport or into St Helier. The solo room is small, as you would expect, but was comfortable, clean and the Wi-Fi is very good. The full English breakfast good and filling but there are some limitations such no cereal, cornflakes, Weetabix etc. Lounge area for guest was quiet and relaxing. I’m sure in the summer is very busy but early spring it was just right. Only one complaint: No Marmite!

We went here with a party of 18 for a family birthday. My main gripe was the fact that 2 of our party that had the pork belly got almost no pork. Some got a good portion and got crackling, however my son and brother-in-law got virtually nothing. My son (he's 19 so it was an adult portion) got a peice of crispy bacon and a piece of pork so small that it fit underneath the bacon, they were sent back and a reasonable portion turned up. The rest of the food was ok but nothing better than average for a sunday lunch. On the positive side the location is the highlight and the restaurant itself is nicely presented.

My wife and I visited The Old Court House for a a lunch time drink and snack. I chose the lobster sandwich at £14.50. Well, I don't know if there was any lobster in it because the sauce and lettuce completely dominated the sandwich. I certainly could not taste any lobster. I complained to the assistant manager who didn't seem at all interested. I have visited Jersey several times and this is the only place that I have felt to have been ripped off! What they served up for £14.50 was a disgrace. Glad I didn't order a main meal!!

We had an evening meal at the Old Court House to celebrate my Birthday. We were seated in a room at the back, there were 8 of us and we had the room to ourselves, it felt like private dining which we really enjoyed. The food and service was outstanding, I had the venison which was exceptional. When the dessert came out they even put some candles in it and sang happy birthday, even the chef came out, which I thought was a really lovely touch. We all had a great evening and I was very pleased with my choice of venue.

We stopped here for food and drinks in February and we had fabulous food. I had venison, mash, celeriac, kale and pear with red wine jus which was delicious. The others in our group had the fish n chips which was delicious too. Great friendly staff service was prompt too. I recommend the food and drinks.

A wonderful 16th century inn with the most welcoming staff. The single rooms are small but more than adequate and the bathroom is modern. Breakfast is superb especially the eggs. The hotel is situated in the picturesque village of at aubin with great bus links to town and many restaurants line the harbour. No parking but a public car park opposite which is normally available if you park before 19.00. Highly recommended.
