This place was great to stay at. The apartment was very clean and a good size for two people. Close to the sea and historical sites. It felt very safe and was great value for the price. We would definitely stay there again

Great location. Surprisingly quiet, athogh we kept windows shut and air conditioning on. In need of some maintenance which the owners are aware of.

Amazing position for exploring the old city. Well equipped kitchen, although power tripped on one occasion. Good A/C. Room door opens directly off alley, with a bar opposite and some noise although settled at a reasonable hour and didn’t trouble us much.

This apartment is located in a perfect place! Very close proximity to old town, perfect for walking everywhere! The apartment is very well stocked and furnished. We were a little thrown by the water heater being on a switch, outside the bathroom but quickly found it and had no other problems with it. The water heater is small, though, so showers need to be quick if more than one person staying. The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked several of our meals at home. Especially convenient to do with several grocery stores within a 5 minute walk. There are some cosmetic things that could be fixed, but nothing major. Also, our apartment opened right into an alley, which was super convenient, (no stairs) but in that alley was a local bar/ Cafe, that was open late, so there was some noise late at night. All in all, we loved and would definitely stay here again!

Easy self-check in, spacious, comfortable apartment with everything we needed. Great neighborhood, a block from Diocletian's Palace. In pedestrian zone, feels very safe. I would definitely like to stay there again when I return to Split.

The 9+ rating is a big lie. The reality is different. We found a dirty apartment. I think that the cleaning lady did not see the apartments since the last century. The biggest problem is that we had a lor of mold in our room. I can not understand how a nother humanbeing could rent such an apartment to a nother humanbeing. Sorry but for me, the rate is ZERO!!!

In my 10 years of being a nomad, I’ve pretty well seen it all. Great accommodation and crappy management/staff. Crappy accommodation and great management/staff. Usually, it’s somewhere in between. Well, I really lucked out at the Gajeta Apartments! Terrific accommodation and terrific management/staff. Accommodation 1. Location: couldn’t be better. A few minutes walk to just about every tourist attraction in the Old Town. A heartbeat away from cafés, restaurants, super markets, currency exchanges, pharmacies, the launderette, the Riva, etc. (Don’t know about parking because I gave up driving years ago.) 2. The flat itself: a budget-friendly 1-bedroom job that suited me to a T. (a) Cozy and warm - especially welcome during the colder days of December, January, and February. Wonderful to walk into a cozy warm environment after nearly freezing to death chasing the winter sun. (b) Quiet - this is one of the very few places I’ve actually heard the sound of silence! Could be due to the double-paned windows and the wooden shutters. (c) Clean - no fixed housekeeping day; it’s negotiable and for me once a week was perfect. (d) Good WiFi. (e) Bed - probably the most comfortable bed on the planet. (f) No ‘scenic view’ from the flat, but then I didn’t come to Split to spend my time looking out the window. 😁😁😁 Management/Staff ****o - the owner A very soft-spoken, thoughtful, laidback guy; any minor glitches are dealt with immediately. Sanja - receptionist/secretary? (Never did know her official title.) Sanja is the jewel in the crown at the Gajeta Apartments. Has me now wishing all receptionists everywhere else were the same! Yes, most receptionists will confirm bookings and arrange airport pickups, but this little lady seemed to go above and beyond the ‘usual’. Out of many examples, what I appreciated the most: (a) Her prompt and detailed response to my initial email query (April 2021). (b) Her prompt responses to subsequent emails. (c) Meeting me at the apartments upon my arrival (December 2021). It was so nice to be welcomed by a smiling face rather than by a key stuck in a box; a code pad stuck at the entrance to a building; or an automaton that passes for a receptionist. (d) Assisted me in finding a currency exchange and a super market that same afternoon. That was so much appreciated, given that I was dead tired after a 19-hour circuitous itinerary just getting there. (e) Being accessible, if needed. (f) To even seeing me off when I left. Definitely recommend this place!

Big apartments in a central location in Split old town. Very helpful and polite staff, easy to contact. Quiet and child friendly place.
