Royale Beach and Tennis Club, a VRI Resort

was appalled by the condition of this place. It was stated, renovatons in progress, saw no work being done during our wwek stay. sheers in livrooms were raggerty, i am an owner and not happy with the condition of the place, the location is prime with beautiful view of the water and the gardens. saw many rooms with locks removed, but no work being done. fees have gone up by over 50%, but the quality is not there. soneobe needs to hold local management accountable for the appearance and condition of ths resort

This is my second time staying there and really enjoyed it. Staff are very helpful and understanding. Resort is nice and clean.

We were promised a handicap room. When we got there, they told us there was not a handicap room available, but our room was handicap accessible. When we got to the room, there's no rails for the toilet and the shower was not able to be driven into like the gentleman said. I called and questioned him and he was not helpful. I ended up having to buy a bedside commode and shower chair to accommodate my handicapped family member. It's really hard to get things to and from the room because of the doors and I'm not sure that my family member would even be able to leave the room by themselves because of the way the doors are and not being able to get them open from their mobility scooter. Very disappointing. the room was clean and the view was amazing.

Checked into room 55 on Friday around 5 pm noticed that we had no hot water , I spoke to front desk told them of the situation , they said they’d have someone to look at it , Saturday spoke them twice they assured me this would be fixed yet still nothing was done . Very disappointed and would not recommend unless you like subzero showers .

We had a very bad experience with this hotel. I do not recommend booking here. We got a call from the hotel at 7PM the day we were supposed to begin our stay, while we were on our way to South Padre Island, and we were announced that the hotel is overbooked and we do not have a room. No explanation, alternative, compensation or apologies. Trying to find another booking that late in the day was a nightmare. Hotel.com found another room for us after 2 hours on the phone with them but the accommodations were not even close to what we originally booked. We ended up losing money and time. Very disappointing!

Assistant general manager Beatrice horrible attitude, she needs to take classes for professoralism, customer service maybe even a better attitude, this place canceled my reservations 10 before we're scheduled to check-in WOW! The only excuse was at first it was for maintenance but then she accidentally said they double book rooms WOW

Always look forward to our stays at the Royale ,great customer service. Only one elevator working ,had to wait a while to go places.

Only one elevator worked room mattress was hard as a rock hallway waiting for the elevator was so hot wouldn’t stay there again

Hotel lobby looks pretty rough and only 1 elevator works but rooms are nice and clean and worth the price.
