Home2 Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City/South Jordan

Checked in on Oct 08 and was promptly assisted by a very friendly young lady associate. Room was clean as is the entire property. Next door to bike n hiking trails and restaurants. Nice sitting area near the front door. CONS: arrived to eat at approx 0815 Breakfast was beyond bad. No hot eggs, no bagels, no yogurt, few hot items that had definitely been sitting out since 0600. Egg sandwich was noneditable, cheese was rubber, bun and egg hard. Literally took a bite n spit it out. There were a couple of "egg bowls" peeled back cellophane and encountered a crusty top, eggs and little sausages. My expectations are generally low for these type of breakfasts, even so, didn't even come close.

Great location Excellent room, spacious and well serviced Reasonable priced Front desk very helpful. I liked the laundry and exercise room as well Walking distance to several good restaurants Breakfast could be served to 10am, closes at 9am, that did not work for me but the rest was outstanding. Recommended!!

Love this place. Came in July ‘22 and when I looked for places to stay in July ‘24 and the price was right came back again. I like the kitchen - microwave, sink, full refrigerator and freezer. Bed is comfortable as well as the sofa bed my kid slept on. I like the dividing curtain to create “separate” bed areas if the kids go to sleep earlier than parents. TV is good. Blackout curtain works well but make sure it’s shut all the way to the bottom. That first morning light came in like a light saber and woke me up at 6:30am! Breakfast is OK, milk was questionable, think the small refrigerator was kinda warm. Three breakfast cereals, all kinda sugary but my kids love it. If not can go w/ oatmeal. My fav is the two waffle makers.

I’m in the area because I traveled here for surgery and I’m having complications. As a result, I requested an early check in for this portion of my stay when booking my room with my credit card in the Hilton app. I have been treated like an escort booked through a third party site since I walked in. How you ask? The front desk clerk questioning whether it was my card that did the booking. My keys that I have had to replace 3 times in 24 hours. The maid coming to my door a second time when I’m trying to be as sterile as possible dressing my incisions in a hotel so grungy I can’t believe it’s a Hilton property. When I addressed my issues after they were dumb enough to text me to see how my stay is going, they tried to gaslight and justify through text.

Typical Home2Suites - although it's time to do some more thorough deep cleaning - For instance, maybe run a carpet shampooer over the hallways. The reason for the 4 stars is that there was NO coffee creamer ( half-n-half, etc.) in the morning because their supplier had run out. Maybe management could drive the half mile to Walmart/Cost-co/Sams Club ( all within 1/2 mile) and spend $10 on some half & half? All I want from a hotel is a clean, safe room with a decent bed and coffee to get me out the door. Sour grapes on my part about the creamer - but still.....

Nicely appointed hotel with outdoor fireplaces. Could not use the pool while we were there because it was closed in need of maintenance. Hotel is not that old and very nice and a great Business Park location with plenty of walking accessible restaurants. Do not recommend the trail in back of the hotel as it is not being maintained by the city. There is a nice park down the street. Good mattress and linens. Pleasant stay

Before I booked I called ahead and asked if the pool and hot tub worked. Staff said yes but when I got there 2 days later it was under construction. Breakfast was almost warm. Waffles where hot but no butter. Could not shut blinds they didn't work so your up at 6am not matter what. Housekeeping did clean my room 2 days in a row do to miscommunication about towels they didn't even take the $10 tip. Ice machines broke on floors 4 3 2. I asked if I could get a late checkout and was told yes. UT the day cam to checkout and was asked to either leave or get charged another night. So I rushed to get everything together call the airline that charged me another $202 I think for an earlier flight called my LYFT got down to the lobby checked out asked for manager was told not available then as I was walking out the door staff told me I was aloud to checkout late. I said "A little to F@%king late for that don't you think"

So if you want to party from 10pm to 3:30 am, then stay in rooms 102-112 and have a great time. If you want to sleep somewhere quiet definitely do not stay in these rooms and you’re probably better off staying elsewhere.

The staff is the best! The rooms have the best size fridge for those pesky big boxes from restaurants these days. They have perfect window coverings and temperature control in the rooms. Absolutely the best overall. I personally would rather seek out Home2 these days over any other. They are at least 3 steps above the rest in the value of your stay for the same dollar rate as others in the area. Seek out Home2, and you'll likely wonder why you've never tried them before. Believe me, your dollar goes a long way at Home2.
