Hung Phat Bungalow

Very cute bungalows, with a nice view and a swimming pool. Location is great. The owner helps with anything you need such as bus tickets, tours, restaurant recommendations and he also provides scooter service! Recommend to anyone looking for good value for money :)

Lovely location. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Free bicycles available for use to get to local restaurants. A simple and tasty breakfast served underneath your bungalow. Clean rooms although beds were hard. Beautiful gardens. Lovely views.

Great place, small, clean and very quiet. Son the owner is the nicest man that will do his best to make your stay the best it can be. There are motorbikes for hire at a very reasonable price, free use of bicycles. Son suggested 3 restaurants to eat, All were good. He also recommended a cave tour which was the best. I have been staying in budget hotels for 2 years travelling and this is one of the best.

We had a wonderful time in Phong Nha at Hung Phat Bungalow! The place is stylish, clean has a nice view and a pool, and the owner is super sweet and helpful-he met us at a bus station early in the morning and dropped us off there at the end of our stay, helped us to find a good tour for the caves, book a bus ticket, and even let us stay past check out time because it was raining and he didn’t want us to get cold. We are very grateful for this experience, highly recommended!

Had three fantastic nights at the Hung Phat Bungalow. Mr Son and his wife are such hard workers and take pride in their home stay/ bungalows. The accommodation is quiet (we never heard any of the other guests), though there were some noises from the surrounding nature as you’d expect (frogs/cockerel), this didn’t bother us. The bungalows are easy to get to via private transfer (arranged by Mr Son) and are not far from Phong Nha town. We rented one of Mr Son’s scooters (took around 5 minutes) but you could also cycle (free of charge to borrow) or walk (about 25 minutes walk). If you are booking an adventure tour with Jungle Boss, their new headquarters are only a stones throw behind the bungalows, so location is excellent for this. All other tour providers also picked up from Hung Phat and Mr Son will happily accept arrange the tours for you. Breakfast was excellent (cooked by Mr Son) and served (by his lovely wife) underneath your bungalow. Mr Son is happy to help with any questions / assistance you might need and took great care of us. Thanks to Hung Phat Bungalow for helping to making Phong Nha the best part of our Vietnam trip!

Would highly recommend it here. The owner is extremely helpful and accommodating. He will help you book tours and also lend you a motorbike to get around. The rooms are nice and clean. The pool is great too

What a picture perfect place to stay. Amazing and serene. The owner, Son, was such an incredibly lovely person who would do any for you. We had an early tour one day and he went into Phong Nga early in the morning and bought us a Bahn Mi each for our breakfast to take with us. Hung Phat Bungalows are located just a 5 or 6 minute scooter ride out of town, backing onto rice fields, and looking directly across to Phong Nga National Park and the mountains. Stunning. Bungalows were very cheap, clean and tidy, with breakfast included each day. 3 nights there was just amazing. Beautiful clean pool also. Highly recommend. Thank you once again Son, for having us there and taking such good care of us. Hope to see you again one day.

I am very sad we only stayed one night, we should have stayed here much longer. The host was amazing and accommodating (and funny). He helped coordinate a car from the train station, a tour last second, and let us borrow motorbikes to go into town. He makes an incredible tofu banh mi. The accommodation itself was so clean, quiet, and unique. I would come back here in a heartbeat! Make sure you do the Paradise Cave and Dark Cave excursion it was the highlight of our entire trip.

The bungalows are lovely and comfortable. I enjoyed waking up in nature looking at a rice field. The owner was doing everything to make sure I had a pleasant stay. Organizing a pickup and a shuttle back to Hong Doi, recommending the best trips for and making sure my schedule will work out, and giving me a scooter to go the town center for having dinner. Bikes were also available. The quiet town was the perfekt environment for going by scooter without the challenges of the Vietnamese traffic. ;) Also the breakfast was delicious and served at your private dining area underneath the bungalow.
