Namib Naukluft Lodge

Desert camp was peaceful, tranquil, tented cottage was immaculately clean , fully netted and safe, no bugs to worry about inside, air-conditioned plus a fan, en suite shower with nice hot water with a toilet on the one side, they provided a BBQ for us to use and a refrigerator to keep our stuff cool....pool embedded into the rocks overlooking the tented camp and amazing sunsets...awesome stay for those who are a bit fussy

We stayed here in February after travelling from Windhoek. We were warmly welcomed by Ericsson who was a little concerned about us as we were a bit later than planned (Namibian roads!!) We were just in time for sunset and the views from our lodge did not disappoint! The rooms are well equipped and have everything you need. Our room rate involved dinner which is a set menu- we were offered a vegetarian option but declined. Breakfast was delicious and the view of the plain and watering hole was the perfect setting. We met the manager whose family own the property (I’m so sorry I can’t remember your name). He was able to point out lots of animals/ birds and recommend other activities to do in the area, including a hike on the property and a trip to the National Park. We loved our stay and it was the perfect resting spot before heading to Serium and the Dunes. Be warned the Petrol Station in Solitaire was closed the evening we arrived and didn’t have petrol when we went the next morning so make sure you fill up at every opportunity before heading south! Namib-Naukluft Lodge staff were a strong influence on our lovely stay here, I wish we had had another night to avail more of the amenities but we shall just have to return!

We stayed at the soft camp lodge. It has everything you need ans the surroundings are stunning! You can do great walks and sunset drives here. It is also very close to the Sossu Vlei. Staff is very helpfull and friendly, I would defenitly tecommend this plsce!

We stayed three nights as part of a package from Windhoek. What a beautifully situated lodge. Friendly staff. Plenty of hot water with great water pressure. We loved dinner outside under the stars. Food was excellent. We would stay here again.

Me and my wife spent 2 nights in the lodge . We felt like home . This lodge is property of our special guide Sven and his family , of the extravaganza team. It was our honeymoon and Ian, the chef, prepare a special and lovely 5 course menu . We strongly suggest it. The lodges are clean, with al necessary staff and with a big window on the amazing view of the landscape.

Great place out in the desert, isolated and beautiful. Our weather was quite windy but all the staff were very accommodating and adapted quickly to any issues. The management was very helpful as well.

One has so many options to choose from when visiting the Unesco heritage site Namib Naukluft National Park, but staying here is so much more than just an overnight place going or coming to the world famous Sossusvlei dunes. It is a family run business for decades and thus dedication to both environment and hospitality embrace visitors with those endless desert horizons to relax and enjoy the vista. Wildebeest are gathering close to their open verandah which is not the usual game one gets to see in the area. Definitely worth a stay, even for a longer period, their scenic drives offer incredible facets of this ancient landscape.

The Lodge situated in a beautiful location with the great view from the infinity pool. The staff and the owners are very welcoming and friendly and prepared to go an extra mile to please their guests.
