El Dorado Casitas Royale, Catamarán, Cenote & More Inclusive

Wow…even though it was our fourth visit, it keeps amaze us. We really enjoyed staying at El Dorade royal Casitas. They vibe is so relaxing, the staff is amazing and the food is superb. We spend 10 days at the resort and we tried all the restaurants. A huge compliment to Kampai, the food is amazing! One huge contributor to the relaxing atmosphere is the staff, they really make you feel like you are the most important person on the planet. We will most definitely visit this beautiful place again!

Arrival You will arrive at the lobby for ROYALE. When staying at Casitas, they will tag your luggage, and put you in a cart, taking you to a special lobby for the Casitas. That lobby is MUCH smaller than the main lobby, and if not busy, is just the perfect size. AC, cold washcloth, and bottle water await you. We had a 'freebie' room, they had put us on an upper floor, but due to my wife's health issues, we needed a lower floor, so they had to move us. Took a few extra minutes. We arrived at noon, so our bags were held until 3PM when our room was ready. After we picked up our keys and went to our room, the bags were delivered within 15 minutes. Food & Beverages There are many restaurants, that are shared between the 3 resorts. Reservations are required for dinners, however you can reserve all nights of your stay, on your first day. No need to rush back each morning. There is 1 family friendly resort, and 2 adults only sharing restaurants. The adults only (in my opinion) is limited in it's offerings. 2 italian and a steakhouse. We had brisket and bbq ribs 1st night, and the portions were a good size, and food was very good, although a little cool when it arrived. We had casitas italian the second night. Portions were a smaller size. Ravioli and chicken parmesan. Taste was good throughout.3rd night we had villas italian, and it was a disappointment to me. Chicken something and the ravioli in 4 cheese. Unfortunately, portion sizes for each were quite small. there were only 4 ravioli in a large bowl. The appetizers also seemed quite small. Both restaurants we had tiramisu but it was quite different desert, the first being traditional and the second was more a cup of coffee with cream and a cookie in it. We returned to our room afterwards and ordered a pizza from room service!We also used room service for a lunch one day. Between 20-30 minutes for food to arrive, great presentation, taste and portion size. They also provide you with a 'button' to press when finished so they will return and pick up the plates. We pushed it twice, but nobody came to get them, even until the next day. For the restaurants at the family friendly side, preference is given to guests staying on that side, so adults only guests cannot be seated until 8PM or later. ALCOHOL - brand names at all bars we visited. If you want a specific brand you will need to ask for it. Titos, Frangelico, etc. were available at all bars. The chocolate martini was fantastic and strong at the martini bar near the main lounge. Rooms Staying in the casitas section there are single story rooms, and double story rooms. The upstairs rooms can be a bit tricky. as there are 3 sets of stairs to reach the door. Elderly guests may want to request lower floors. There are 8 sets of casitas, arranged in a horseshoe which has a pool with swim up bar in each. Several options for casitas. Beachfront, regular, and swim up and Presidential. Presidentia

This is my first time writing a trip advisor review….but for this place, it had to be done! Everyone MUST know how wonderful this place is! From the beautiful grounds to the endless amenities, the delicious food and phenomenal beverage selections, El Dorado Casitas Royale left little to be desired. Although all of the above things were top tier, what really makes this place special are the people. If you are looking to be treated like family, look no further. Some standout people for us: Facundo - our poolside bartender who played us his favourite music, shared stories of his family and made the most inventive shots and cocktails! Cheers! Dr Fernando Cortina - who treated me and my partner like family when I had a health emergency and had to seek treatment. Dr Cortina kept in contact with my partner over WhatsApp while I was in hospital to ensure I was receiving the best treatment and even went out of his way to check on us a few days later to make sure all was well. The healthcare I experienced at this resort was better than my family doctor at home here in Canada! I cannot thank Dr Cortina enough for his kindness and effective treatment! Sheila - our server at the Italian Restaurant on the Casitas side. She was such a beam of joy and helped make food accommodations easy for those of us with dietary requirements Emelliano- our concierge who assisted us in booking all of our transportation to excursions, ensured we were set with everything we needed daily, and helped us make the most of our week long vacation! Thank you so very much! Chef at Santa Fe Restaurant- who made us the best meal we have ever had with fish that we had caught fresh that day on an ocean fishing excursion. When I say that the MahiMahi tacos and Baraccuda with garlic and parm crust were perfect, I mean I don’t think we could’ve dreamed of better. If I were to nit-pick one thing about the resort it’d be that it’s quite large and impossible to see everything it has to offer in 7 days if you’re planning on booking excursions! Instead, go for 10, it’s what we’re planning to do when we return next year for more fun in the sun! ☀️

If you want great service, friendly staff, beautiful and clean rooms, delicious food, gorgeous views, relaxation by the pool &/or ocean and even a day with a fun foam party…. This is your next stay! My high school friend & I decided to get away for 3-nights for a long weekend, and it should have been a week! We experienced the pool, the restaurants, the spa, massages, foam party in the pool, incredibly friendly staff and we even got to watch our Green Bay Packer team win another game while sitting in outdoor paradise! I can’t wait to go back!

As members of Karisma Resort and Spa for over 10 years we have not regretted the times spent at many of their Resorts and Spas. ( THIS IS NOT A PAID ADVERTISEMENT. ) I wanted to highlight THE STAFF, who are truly second to none. Concierge Carlos and his assistant ( very sorry I can’t remember her name but she was like an executive secretary to him. I think he’d have a very hard time without her. They came to our room and got the ball rolling!, Our Butlers David and Alvaro made sure that we had EVERYTHING we need in the way of restaurant reservations-to faxing to specific comfort needs. YOU ROCK! Our main housekeeper Paunlano (?spelling) Thank You lady for making and keeping our room very clean and comfortable. Our all time favorite place to eat when we are there is Santa Fe: Shoutout FIRST to Senor Wilbert who has worked there and taken care of us in the most special way over the years. He is by far The most professional ( old school ☺️ ) waiter that we’ve ever had. We love you Sir and will see you next visit as always; also Lead Hostess Mr Ivan- Another True ( old school ) Gentleman, also Oscar, Alex, Alexis, Justo, Javier, Pablo, Felipe, Hernandez, ; Norma @ 32, Thank you for the special way you love up on us with Family-Like Love; Kampi, another great Thai Restaurant: —＞ Luz-your expert attention to detail , Karol you display a gentleness in you professional service, Gabriella very kind, Zita very nice as well; a special shout out to Conte’, a young lady with a servants heart who cleans the bathrooms- very seldom are these essential personnel noticed but her smile and her sincerity touched me deeply ,; then there’s Chef’s Kitchen, Hi Mari , Sir Don ( aka Chipe’) says Hello and keep being a sweetheart , and Eduardo and Daniel who knows that menu like the back of their hands ; and Irene such a lovely woman~＞Irene my nail technician at The Spa gave me a great experience along with a Beautiful Mani- Pedi. Last but CERTAINLY not least are the Friendly Ground keepers, Repairmen,Painters, etc These men and Women, although working in hot weather in hard jobs they still smiled and gave us a warm “ HOLA! “ Karisma Resorts and Spas as you can tell are special to us and WE know that if not for the Essential Workers who are in regular contact ( THE CORPORATE’S “ 1st “ IMPRESSION ) with the members and guest. They are all very professional and kind and respectful, regardless of the tiresome work that they have before them. The Resort would not be what it is if it weren’t for The Essential Workers. They are one of the main reasons why the members purchase memberships and the guests continue to come year after year! This year, we decided to take our vacation with 11 of our closest friends to this resort. The experience was the most amazing we have ever had. I want to start with Melissa, Hugo, and Ruth. Melissa and Hugo were our butlers, but they didn't treat us like customers, they treated us like family! We wanted for NOTHING. The attentiveness of both of our butlers was like nothing I have ever experienced. These two messaged us first thing in their shift just to say good morning and ask how they could make our stay better! They decorated our rooms for one couples honeymoon and two of our birthdays. They don't get special recognition for this, they do it to give us special recognition that lets be honest... most of us don't deserve! These butlers make these trips special and need the recognition they deserve. We have been here multiple times and have had great butlers, but this duo is completely unstoppable! They not only attend to us but I've watched them help other guests who they have no responsibility for without hesitation or question. They treated them with the highest respect even knowing that at the end of the week(s) it wouldn't benefit them in any way. I have seen Melissa as a butler during multiple visits to the resort in the past and have always admired her strong presence, but having her as a butler made me realize that her and Hugo are the type of employees that keep this place going. And Ruth, our conciers is on point! If you need something and i mean ANYTHING that is your go to. She gets it done! She knows her guests and considers us friends. She has a passion for us like I have never seen! Ruth is so protective over the people she cares for that nothing will stop her from accomplishing her goals! The admiration that I have for how well she will fight for us goes beyond words! Alberts has been greating us with compassion and attentiveness for years!!!! He's the first thing we see when we arrive knowing that we are finally home!! For as long as I can remember, he has called us out by name as soon as he's seen us. You can't find that anywhere else! Then there is Lu (I believe that's the spelling of her name). This woman went out of her way to speak to us no matter where we were or what we were doing. She'd great us by name without looking at notes and would ask about guests we've visited with in the past (I'm talking about year ago). She's a front line worker that made our guests feel special. There was another gentleman (I think his name was Alex) who sat us at Cocotal's and Spot... he also made us feel like we were a part of his own family! Clemente!!! Everyone's favorite bartender! That man knew ALL of us by name and what we drank. He treated us like no other person existed at that swimup without neglecting others. Gabrielle made my birthday absolutely amazing. He coordinated with Hugo to give us a private experience on the beach. We again wanted for NOTHING!!! He went to multiple restaurants to get our drinks and meals. He deco
