If you are looking for a place thats very chill, not loud, this is the place. This property is very mild and it worked for me because I personally went to relax and do nothing. I repeat this is not your turn up property, music is normally off by 11p, shows are decent, staff will get you what you need. I had a few issues in the beginning but within 24 hours things were worked out, i loved that the staff checked on me, i loved that the staff was accommodating.
Food is typical all inclusive food. Its not fancy but its ediable. I like that they actually had a variety of options to choose from and wasnt just beach bar or buffet as options.
This property does not offer onsite excursions but there is a representative that will get you set up with things you may be interested in doing.
Now the transportation piece is interesting, i loved once i arrived that they are able to get you a taxi to and from the airport, off property resturants and pretty much anywhere you want to go!
I would suggest call before you go and make sure you are spaking with someone from this actually property and not the property related to it- it makes a difference in your experience and the information you receive.

We had a wonderful stay until we did not unfortunately. We both got food poisoning/Monetzumas Revenge and it ruined the rest of our trip.

Smaller resort. The entertainment staff was excellent. Snorkeled through an excursion booked with Margarita at hotel by pool. The boardwalk along the beach was not my favorite. Prefer beach with walk into ocean access. They do have a small area of beach without the boardwalk.

This resort is smaller which is really nice - it's easy to get around and a quick walk to the pool/beach/restaurants (we were staying in the building furthest from the beach/pools). The food was great and the staff members were always friendly and helpful. No issues finding a beach chair every day. We didn't experience any waits or long lines at the a la carte restaurants or buffet. Highly recommend! It's no surprise this resort has so many return guests.

The look of the resort is lovely, a little village in a resort where everybody has is own room in small cabana. The vegetation and landscape is beautiful, lots of green, iguanas and other small animals. The resort is easily walkable and restaurant variety is awesome as well as the service! Special mention to Alfredo that did welcome us like queens.

After reading that hotel was rated excellent got excited- I should have known better that that price was too good to be truth. Hotel is outdated ( rooms and lobby) had to do the upgrade to be able to use nicer side of the beach. Super disappointed with the privilege dining. Breakfast was a total disaster, steak dinner was yummy, but honestly for lunch and breakfast- buffet was the best option. Very nice coffeebut privilege team kinda e shop. Great service- stuff extremely helpful

This resort was amazing! We loved the lively vibe but also the option to have a quieter day down on the beach or the other pool. Entertainment staff were excellent, always giving us lots of laughs. Service and food options were fantastic. We loved the surf and turf on the beach - perfect way to end our stay. Drinks were well made. Excellent option for an excellent price.

We've been to many all-inclusive resorts in various countries and this is one we would happily go back to. All of the staff was excellent, and very friendly. The food options were very good and unlike other places we've stayed, the al-a-carte options are first come first serve (except the Teppanyaki). I expected long waits but the longest wait we had was 5 minutes. Once sitting, you were looked after right away and the menu options were plentiful and well above our expectations.
One of the best things at the Ocean Maya is its size, no matter where you are, everything is close and you never have people tripping all over you. The facility is very clean, well kept and well appointed. There are many excursions available, but we were happy to just relax by the pool or the ocean. We never had an issue getting a chair at either location.
We booked online through ******* (first time) and there were a few extra perks at this resort for us we didn't expect (reservations etc) .
We were looking for a relaxing week off, and really enjoyed our stay at this property.

Beach access is important to me, and this resort had a wonderful, uncrowded beach with plenty of loungers. There was also a little coffee bar which was lovely. The resort’s greatest asset is the staff, particularly the entertainment staff. I travel to Cancun at least yearly, and this resort had some of the best daytime and nighttime activities. Sexy Jules had never ending energy, and made it a point to connect with many guests, encourage participation, and always had a smile on his face. The silent disco was so much fun! The only thing I would say is that the different levels of access for beach, dining, and pool seating was a little confusing at first. Overall, we had a great time and I would recommend staying here!
