To General manager I booked Santa Roza on a very short note due to unavailability of any other 5 star hotel in Kasauli . I had the most horrible experience in a welcomheritage property ever. I can’t believe this place is associated with ITC chains and call itself a 5 star hotel. Firstly, staff at the reception was not welcoming no happy greetings, interaction or anything. They only asked again and again what’s the payment mode? Property tour is far off thing. The staff member didn’t give a room tour or acknowledgement. I mean where are the 5 star hotel’s gestures ? Secondly, there is no valet parking , you have to park by yourself as they have a huge board of “parking at your own risk” Though other hotels provide car wash ***** with parking . Thirdly, room was extremely small with cheap infrastructure and washroom was the smallest I have ever seen , it didn’t even have a touch screen mirror and a space to keep things like makeup box or any other .We paid for three people and didn’t even get an extra bed but a mattress and not even other extra toiletry kits or glasses even after asking many times plus the helpdesk number was always busy. Balcony is way too congested . Fourthly, restaurant is again small and didn’t have an aesthetic rooftop . Food variety at buffet was less though the quality was good. There is an open bar but with the view of other people’s room . When someone goes to a hill station one expects an open area to sit and enjoy a 360 degree hill view you can’t get that here . Fifthly, and the most frustrating, I could have ignored everything but this can’t be spared, when I checked out and was 40 minutes away from Santa Roza I got a call from Mr. Parveen help desk executive, he was doubting me and said I by mistake have picked their tissue box and they wanted me to comeback and return it if not then courier it to them. I was shocked like how can an ITC associated property be so miser to ask me to return a 200rs worth tissue box. I went there to celebrate my friend’s bachelorette party that was ruined by this place. They didn’t even decorate the room even I had already asked them on call and email. I have lost all my trust in ITC , welcomhotel and welcomheritage properties, all thanks to the poor ambience, hospitality at Santaroza. Only appreciable person was Mr. Deepak Kumar , the bartender he took our feedback about food and drinks and took great care of us , other than him no one bothered to ask for feedback about our stay. I think this place invested all money in outer look and forgot to take care of the rooms and hospitality which our the pillars of hotel industry . At the end, I’m neither going to comeback here, nor going to suggest this place to anyone . It’s was a below 3 star experience for me, not a 5 star .
