Au Petit Manoir

Don't understand all the raving reviews, as it was very average. Yes, location is convenient. Yes it was clean. But it was a lot of style over substance. We didn't really interact with host (aside from check in) so can't really comment on that. She seemed friendly albeit perfunctory. We stayed in the self catering unit. Amenities are basic and limited. Severe lack of practical space, especially in the bathroom & kitchen. It all looks very pretty but is very unpractical. The self catering unit is suitable for 4 persons, but even with just the 2 of us, we hardly had space to open our suitcase,. There is a dining "shelf" with 3 chairs, fine for the 2 of us, but I wonder how 4 persons would be able to have dinner. There are additional relaxing seats available, but again, very unpractical, like a lovely comfortable hanging egg chair which takes up way too much space. Kitchen had 2 induction hobs, a minimal no of plates & glasses & cooking equipment. A few teabags, dishwasher tablets (2), instant coffee sachets were provided. Nice touch was the bottles of still & sparkling water in fridge. It all looked very pretty, and bed was reasonable comfy, but we were happy that we only stayed 1 night as it would have been totally unsuitable for a longer stay. One last note re parking: there are limited parking spaces available within the gated area (think about 6). On the evening we stayed, there was table d'hote offered to guests and local residents. This meant that the parking was taken up by some non guests. There is further parking available on the street, but if you are concerned about secured parking - this is something to take into account

A lovely place to stay after a long drive. Very peaceful and walking distance from the lovely town Bergues. The owners were very friendly and attentive. The only let down were the croissants at breakfast. The were quite hard and seemed to be reheated. Lovely fruit and yoghurt but only preserves for the bread. No cheese or cuts as so often is the case on the continent. But all in all a lovely place and we won’t hesitate to come back. It also has the possibility to book an evening meal and there is a wellness centre which can be pre booked. Massages and jacouzi all there. I understand they have a separate apartment which can be booked for a family.

A lovely small Manor House that was a delightful surprise. Beautifully furnished and a stunning breakfast. We just stayed overnight on the way back to the channel tunnel but I would come back and stay longer - particularly as a couple. The hosts were lovely and the large garden was a delight.

We had already stayed in this beautiful house a couple of years ago. Second experiences can be disappointing, especially when owners or managers change. That was not our case: the premises were rearranged and restructured for the benefit of greater comfort and pleasantness of the rooms that were already excellent. The location is fine, nothing special, but cosy and quiet. 85/100 The owner is friendly and reserved 90/100 The rooms are beautiful, welcoming, comfortable and large 90/100 The breakfast room has a large bow-window facing the beautiful garden and the close living room has a piano plus free snooker and football table 95/100 The class of service is the one you expect when in France, i.e. top level 90/100 The taste of breakfast with fresh croissons and true orange juice is French class 90/100 The price for four people was good (154 breakfast included) 88/100 Maybe the parking could be slightly improved

I stayed here on business with colleagues recently and can highly recommend this little hotel for a cozy place to stay. My room was very well appointed and cannot understand the previous reviewers comments about it being dated. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in this area.

Samen met m'n dochter twee daagjes onze batterijen weer opgeladen. Vriendelijke ontvangst in een oase van rust (aan drukke weg, maar zodra je door de poort komt is het heerlijk rustig). Wij hadden de sauna/hammam/jacuzzi geboekt voor ons tweetjes en konden daar heerlijk lang genieten met uitzicht op de tuin en vogels. Restaurant was wat prijzig, maar wel handig er niet meer eruit te hoeven. Mijn t****e keer in le Petit Manoir, ik kom nog terug!

Bonjour, Endroit cosy, super bien tenu avec un beau jardin. Petit déjeuner avec beaucoup de fait maison délicieux. Le couple qui gère le lieu au petit soin présent sans l'être (Discret). J'ai rien de négatif à mettre je dois vieillir :)

Nous avons passé un très bon weekend en famille dans cette merveilleuse villa, avec un immense jardin fantastique. Les hôtes sont très symphatiques Les repas sont top! Les lits sont confortables. Tout était bien.

Tout est dit dans la note , 5 étoiles, en rajouter serait trop long tellement les prestations et les hôtes étaient au sommet ......... Le calme ,la disponibilité des hôtes, la gestion locale de la nourriture servie ETC
