The Railway

Great location 5min walk to centre of skipton. Comfy beds. Nice bar & good food. Lovely breakfast.

I stayed at the Railway for two nights when in Skipton for a running event. The room was very comfortable and good value - full breakfast included was a bonus and I was able to have something light the morning of the run and the full breakfast the following day. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I didn’t eat there in the evenings but the menu looked good and it was busy both nights which is always a good sign. There is no parking but the car park up the road is really reasonable (£5.50 per day) so I just left the car there. I would definitely stay there again if back in Skipton.

Comfy bed, no noise from the bar despite being directly above, friendly staff, good time! Great location too, 5 minutes from town centre & the train station.

Every single staff person I interacted with was extraordinarily kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, my room clean and comfy, and the location is within a 10-minute's easy walk (even whilst rolling my suitcase behind me) from the Skipton Railway station and downtown shopping/attractions. The food, beer, atmosphere, and location all contributed to a very enjoyable stay.

I stayed at the Railway for 5 nights on a recent holiday in Skipton. It's an easy 10 minute walk from the railway station and only 5 minutes away from the bus station and very close to the High Street. The room I had was a double with a seperate shower/wc ensuite. The room had tea and coffee facilities and a hair dryer. The food was very good and there was a lot of choice for breakfast. Dave the breakfast chef was very good. I ate on most nights at the Railway and the food was excellent, however they don't do food on Monday evenings but there are plenty of choices nearby for a meal. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant. If you are planning to eat there I would suggest you book a table as it can get very busy in the restaurant. I would certainly stay here again if I stay in Skipton again.

Overnight stay and what a little gem this place is . Small and lively pub fairly central to skipton . We didn’t eat an evening meal there but the menu and food we saw served looked excellent . The breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and plentiful , with several options.available . No parking but we managed to get an on the road space an I believe there is a long stay car park near by but I’m not sure how far away it is . The staff were all very helpful and friendly , and the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable . I wouldn’t hesitate in staying again or recommending it to friends/family

Location was within walking distance of the town centre. Room was pleasant, clean and offered tea, coffee and biscuit selection in room. Breakfast had a good selection of cereal and choice of hot food from the menu.

Great visit. Very friendly pub, good food and we're glad we chose to stay here.
