Sonho há anos, em comer no restaurante deste hotel na semana 29. Fui com 2 amigas, preparada para comer depois das 19:00. Ao chegarmos fomos bem recebidas tomamos uns cocktails para esperar por nossa mesa. Nos isolaram em uma mesa, sem nem mesmo a toalha de mesa- todas as outras mesas estavam cobertas. Sentamos ás 3 em uma mesa apertada e desconfortável. Pelo que havia escutado, pensei que o tratamento 5 estrelas era para todos. Fiquei muito decepcionada, com o tratamento discriminatório.

We didn't stay here but had some warm drinks and desserts one cold, rainy night. After a cold day touring Skagen, we stopped here to warm up and have some dessert one early evening. The main dining room was booked so they put us in a lounge room. It was like having a VIP section just for us. The server was great, he came around just enough to make sure we were happy but not too often. We got an assortment of desserts to share. They were all very delicious, rich, and we were happy they weren't very large in size. The creme brulee had a yummy burnt hard sugar top which we delighted in breaking with our spoons. It was perfect.

A super cozy hotel with a very good restaurant and great SPA. We brought our dog and he was very welcome with food bowls and a bed. The location is good in old Skagen.High standard of accommodation. We will definitely go back.

Romantic weekend. The hotel was nice. Unfortunatly the dinner at the bistro was a bad experience. We had the fish and seashell sooup, and as norwegians we know fish. The soup tasted mostly salt, which it seemed they had tried to diminish with lemon. The explanation from the butler was that sometimes it turned out salty😱 No humility from this guy whatsoever. Too bad this ruined our impression.

Great location ambiance service and food. Shrimps not best but rest of shellfish platter exceptional. Kristian the waiter was excellent and put up with me trying Danish. We are a family with 2 children and they had good moules frites. bla bla bla(now i am at 200 characters…)

We went for a late morning coffee with a view to staying for lunch. It was a nice sunny day so most people were outside in the very bare terrace area. It needs some plants to break the space up which looks like an institutional outside eating area rather than an upmarket hotel. We had to go and request service twice. The first waiter said he would bring us a menu . He came and spoke to a gentleman on the next table who seemed to be a friend but totally ignored us 6 feet away. After going to find another waiter we ordered two coffees and a cake. One coffee was with oat milk and stone cold , the other normal coffee was luke warm at best. We had decided we weren't staying for lunch and after 20 minutes our cake still hadn't arrived so we went to pay the bill for the coffees. I commented that I thought the service poor. The guy at the till said he was sorry we felt that but clearly didn't mean it. Disaster!

terrible staff. The staff are extremely rude unless you have a wallet full of money. The staff talk terribly to each other and live in squalid conditions in the most disgusting staff accommodation...........

We stopped here for an impromptu lunch and it was excellent- great quality rib eye steak, good prawns and scallops , nice tea and lovely ambience and charming waiters. What’s not to like! We would definitely return and recommend it. It’s reputation is well earned.

We travelled by train plane and taxi to get to this wonderful place and it was well worth the slog. Ruth’s hotel in Skagen is a wonderful place, great food, helpful , pleasant and efficient staff and ideal location for exploring this very interesting and unspoilt place.
