Vasia Resort & Spa

Such a nice hotel. Amazing staff, very delicious food and the atmosphere overall was just great. Our room was very nice and clean. Restaurant was very inviting and such a great variety of food that meets any taste. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Our first time holidaying the Greece and we will definitely be back. The hotel was lovely and set up perfectly for families. We had a VIP maisonette which worked perfectly for our young family giving us the freedom to use the main pools (all good temperatures after the initial shock getting in) or some quieter time in our own pool. The hotel itself was beautiful clean, the staff worked tirelessly and were all so polite and attentive. The location is within walking distance to the Sisi harbour and village and the hotel runs a shuttle to a local sandy beach around 10 mins away. The absolute stand out of our holiday was the kids club. Our two girls LOVED going and were upset when they couldn’t go. The staff were professional, caring and made a real effort with all the children. Highly recommend!

Just returned from a 10 day trip with my husband and 2 children. The staff are what makes this hotel. All are lovely. I really wanted to love this hotel but I wouldn't visit again, despite thr area being beautiful. The daytime entertainment was non existent apart from aqua aerobics. Whilst sat at the main pool there was zero daytime entertainment, no music despite there being a net in the pool never saw one game of volleyball being played. It was advertised that there were darts etc but never saw one organised dart game take place (and the dartboard was falling apart). Cottons bar was completely soulless, and the evening entertainment wasn't not great they had a girl and boy duo playing the violin and guitar and they were brilliant. The lobby bar never had anyone in it Worst drinks I've had in an all inclusive white wine was like paint ********, cocktails were not great, no rose wine or cava, it's the least I've ever drank on holiday! Rooms were lovely and kept immaculate paid extra for a Seaview room and definitely worth it. Food was good, although not great choices for puddings and not sure why they only had baklava at lunchtime and not in the evening as that was the bestbit! We didn't use the a la carte restaurants so can't comment on them. There were always sun loungers round the pool first hotel I've been to where there didn't seem to be sunbed saving! Snackbar was great and staff here lovely, the lifeguard on duty was also lovely. Pools were great and we loved the slides! I honestly wouldn't rate this hotel as a 5 * I'd say a 3.5 Don't think we'd come back but it was a nice breakaway Also just to note that if you wanted bottled water from the bar they charge you! I wanted one for the transfer bus and was told 5 euro for a large bottle or 3euro for a small one! Needless to say I didn't bother.

This was our second visit to the Vasia, after coming here last year, and it did not disappoint, in actual fact it has got even better! If like me you are looking for a hotel to really relax then this is the place to come. The whole vibe of the resort is calm and chilled. We were booked into a superior double (upgrade much appreciated thank you) which was a lovely, spacious room overlooking the main pool area, this can be noisy during the day, but come 6pm when everything is turned off, it becomes nice and quiet. The showers in this room are amazing! 3 functions and quite powerful. Our room was cleaned to a very high standard everyday and bottled water is left in the fridge. The food had improved so much since our last visit, don't get me wrong, I had no complaints last year, it was of a good standard for an all inclusive resort, but it has definitely gone up a few levels this year. I enjoyed every meal we ate there. Every pool area was well maintained and very clean, we preferred the peace of the main pool by the restaurant, yes the water is cold, but when it was knocking 30 degrees that is just what we wanted. As we are not really drinkers, we explored the area every night, Sissi is such a beautiful area, totally unspoilt at the moment, though I did see quite a few new hotels being built so I do hope this doesn't ruin this lovely area. We always felt safe and everyone we met was really friendly. I love the main shopping area, as someone that likes to buy locally made souvenirs and gifts I was really spoilt for choice. Just sitting down on the harbour, admiring the amazing sunsets was the perfect end to our day. Lastly but by no means least, the most important part, the amazing staff at the Vasia, they are so helpful, hardworking, kind and friendly. From the lovely man who made my omelette every morning, to the smiling restaurant staff, the friendly reception team and my always happy room maid, not one member of staff passed without acknowledging us. We will be back very soon, and I already cannot wait. Thank you everyone for making our holiday the best it could have been.

Some staff members are rude, it’s not all inclusive as after 10pm you’ve got to pay for your drinks even pop Most of the time you’ve got to eat out There’s no entertainment at all it’s extremely quiet There’s only 3 swimming and 2 bars including 1 restaurants There’s nothing to do around the resort and if you do day trips you’ve got to pay extra to go into caves etc Sun lounges are broken and you just sink into them Beds are uncomfortable I wouldn’t recommend this

Location...The hotel is at one end of Sissi, the Malia end. Has lovely sea views & access to a promenade that is a 10 mins walk to the port area. Lots of apartment bars/ restaurants on the way & Aldo on the main road, which is not busy with traffic. Hotel..very clean, modern but with a touch of Cretan. 3 lovely pools & a very nice pool bar. All relatively quite, maybe because it was June but ideal for us. No rowdiness, very relaxed & chilled atmosphere. TBH perfect for what we wanted...peace & a bit of away from it all time. The breakfast was really nice, lots of fresh fruit, cereals, greek yogurt to die for & local honey. Plus your warm breakfast stuff too. You can have something off the a la carte if you so wish. We had scrambled & poached eggs..really good. The staff are really friendly & care that you have a great experience/holiday. A credit to the hotel. Yoga or pilates each day... enjoyed them too. Rooms serviced each day too. We used the gym attached to the hotel, had everything we needed, free weights, multi machines & cardio. Would I come again? I would 100%. If you want peace, tranquility, views, great service, a place to unwind recharge then this is it.

This would have got a 4* however the absolute rudeness and disregard from one of the staff members in particular (blonde female on the reception desk) really let this hotel down. Upon arrival, we were issued our room by the female staff who could not have looked any less interested and was abrupt, nearly explaining the times of different bars or food. We went to our room which was meant to have a ‘garden’ view…apparently someone else’s garden! The room was poorly laid out with a massive living area but no chairs, only a single bed, the curtain in the bedroom was broken and overall the room was not very nice. We went down to reception to mention what we had paid for and the female was so rude and demanded to see the booking, which I obliged, but it was not enough. We were informed that everywhere was full and they would not move us and to complain to manager later in the day if we were that bothered. I’ll admit I became very upset and had a cry back in the room but decided to crack on. We did speak to a manager and were advised that the following day we could be moved. This happened and the room was much better and closer to the pool. The food was great here, a vast variety for everyone in a buffet style. We were allowed one night in the restaurant upstairs which was really nice and table service. It was worth having. The pools were great, ample seating around and the bars outside were accommodating. The other staff members were great and very helpful. Entertainment was on every night and the board informed us what was available each night. The bingo was a bit of fun and really enjoyable sat outside with the evening air. Pool entertainment was alright, though I really hate it when they try and coax you to join in and could have done with different music each day…I was left with ‘celebrate good times…come on’ haunting my dreams. It states there is a gym; this is at the spa next door and only opens from 0800/0900-1800 which is not ideal and does not include the indoor pool or sauna. Location is nice but not a lot to do aside from the harbour which is a 15 minute walk. Wouldn’t stay again but would recommend for anyone who wants a super chilled place to stay.

First time in Greece, should done it before at Vasia Resort. Nice and friendly staff at the reception, arriving there with a welcome drink. Very helpfull to guide us to our rooms. We were there with my family, 4 adults and a baby. We had 2 en-suite rooms with a private pool....amazing !! Breakfast, lunch and diner, choises enough, showcooking and the drinks served at the table....staff are amazing & doing a great job, possibility to have an early and late breakfast and there is a snackbar at a pool. Swimming pools....my goodness, we didn't have time enough to try them all ! Enough place and sunbeds, to enjoy your holiday. Looking forward to go back next year !!

This was our second visit, we loved it the first time that we had to come back. On this occasion it was even better as we stayed for 9 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is immaculate, the food is brilliant and the staff from the reception to the dining and pool and bar are all excellent. The one guy Vasilis at the pool side bar made us laugh everyday. He is a top bloke! The resort is fairly quiet but plenty to do even for families. We will definitely be back soon to enjoy another week to ten days in the near future! 🙂
