We had the best time here! Sabrina, Claudia and all the other staff were so friendly and hepful. The quality of our room was high. Going for a swim and sunbathing on the roof terrace was great - very accessible. Romantic! Highly recommend spending some time here.

What a find!The hotel is like entering a different world for the busy streets it is on. Inside it is cool and beautifully set out and decorated. The hosts are very friendly and helpful . Rooms are stunning and have everything you could need. And the views are truly amazing. Our breakfasts were delicious and varied. Getting into the sea could prove difficult because of the rocks but shoes were provided and once we became more confident it was fine and so different to usual swimming. The walk into Ortega was fine and made for a nice post dinned bit of exercise before heading to our cool comfortable room. A great stay

Warm and hospitable owners make you feel at home immediately. They exude down-to-earth friendliness. The views and sound of the ocean are incredible. Why go to the beach when you can sit on your own balcony shaded from the sun and go swimming in the sea right out the door? The breakfasts are fantastic as are the dinners. We hadn't planned to have dinner, but upon our arrival they asked if we'd like to have dinner there that evening. Great, fresh fish, and best homemade cannoli I have ever eaten. I have an injury and greatly appreciated the elevator and ability to not have to walk any stairs at all (except down to the water.) On site parking was very nice as well.

La Giuggiulena is a cozy hotel that provides very clean and comfortable rooms, nicely appointed with very comfortable beds, useful accessories, and peace and quiet. All the rooms look out at the Ionian Sea and there is a terrace available for sun bathing or for enjoying a bottle of wine and snacks. There is a bounty of fresh fruits and pastries available at breakfast along with eggs, cereals, yogurt, and fresh breads. The pastries are made on the premises and are exceedingly fresh and delicious, baked lovingly by Claudia, one of the two sisters who own the Villa. The other sister is Sabrina who is a source of all kinds of information about Sicily, Siracusa, and Ortigia. She is especially adept at arranging and advising on things to do and restaurants to visit. The Villa is located on a bus line, which makes it is easy to get around the city and the island or Ortigia from there. One can walk to Ortigia from the hotel in about 15 minutes. Finding a comfortable, clean, and quiet place to stay is one of the ingredients to a successful vacation. What makes La Giuggiulena extra special is the hospitality of Sabrina and Claudia, who are wonderful people who strive to make everyone enjoy their time in Sicilia. I would not hesitate to stay there again! It's a great place and they are great people!

My mum and I stayed at Guigguilenas last October for 4 nights. We look back at our stay as being the most memorable and personal hotel experience we have ever had. From the minute we arrived Sabrina and Claudia were the perfect hosts, they gave us a tour of the B&B and provided us with all the information we needed to enjoy our time in Siracusa. I was 5 months pregnant at time and their warm welcome immediately made us feel we had chosen a special place. Waking up to the sound of the water and going to the terrace for the most delicious breakfast was the perfect start to the day. Our room was big and bright with its own balcony that had views directly onto the water where you could see the sun rise. We went for a swim everyday directly from steps at the back of the hotel into the most refreshing water and the hotel provide snorkels and jelly shoes. The hotel is a little out of the centre, It’s a 15 minute walk. You can do half the journey by boat taxi or taxi if you prefer. In our opinion it’s well worth being a little further out for the hotels stunning location right by the water. Thank you for such a wonderful memory with my mum. I can’t wait to come back one day with my husband and baby.

Our family of 4 stayed in giuggiulena villa for 5 nights in April. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very comfortable and the terrace was great. The breakfast was excellent and Sabrina and Claudia were very kind and helpful hosts. We had a great time and look forward to returning.
