B&B Aretusa Vacanze - Ortigia Siracusa

Stephano is the most wonderful host. We had an amazing stay. From arriving and receiving a ceramic pineapple in honor of our anniversary, to the wonderful breakfasts served on the roof, (jams homeade to die for) to the incredibly charming room and view of the small street below, we loved Aretusa Vacance. The whole family of hosts were incredibly nice, and Stephano made certain that we had reservations for extraordinary meals every night (even called our restaurant in Rome, next stop, to save a table for us.) We also loved the art all over this charming spot. Bravo to Stephano for making us feel so special.

Lovely accommodation in a great location! Breakfast on the terrace was so good, with fresh orange juice and homemade jams, Stefano and his family are fantastic hosts!! Rooms are clean with modern bathrooms. Will definitely be back one day 🥰

This family run B&B is ideally located in one of the narrow winding streets in Ortygia close to the Fountain of Arethusa. Our room was very large with an amazing ceiling. The furnishing reflects its older style, and one small down side is limited space near the bed to leave items for the night. The bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. Breakfast was served on the roof top terrace with a nice variety of items to order from. The staff were very friendly and helpful and booked us an excellent driver to take us to our next destination as the trains are not currently operating in the area.

Another great recommendation from TA, thanks Chester. We really enjoyed our stay in this centrally located 17th century building. They have a lovely terrace on the roof where they serve breakfast, the place is a bit quirky but the family that runs it is lovely.

My cousin stayed in this hotel a few years ago and told us that her stay was wonderful. I trust her so I sent an email to inquire about availability. Stefano responded very quickly and answered all of my questions. We booked the hotel for 2 nights. We drove from Catania to Ortigia . We stayed in a 2 bedroom mini apartment. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We had an equipped kitchen,fridge,minibar, TV, en-suite bathroom with shower and hair dryer and safe. The free wifi worked well. The apartment exceeded our expectations. This is a family run establishment and they all try to ensure that their guests are happy and enjoying their stay. The breakfast area is on the top floor(roof area) which is partially outside with a beautiful ocean view. The breakfast was delicious. We especially enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice and all of the different kinds of jams. They can also help you with recommendations of tours and restaurants. We parked our car in a nearby supervised parking garage for 20 Euros a day. It is also very reasonably priced.You will be very happy if you decide to stay here.

Stefano and the entire group - Cinzia, Maurizio, Flavio and Antonio - were perfect hosts. I got the feeling that they truly wanted to make sure you had an excellent stay and were full of helpful suggestions of places to eat, things to see and directions on how to get to nearby and not so nearby sights. It felt as if you were staying with good friends. The room we had - which was a larger room on the 2nd floor - was spacious and very comfortable. The beds were excellent and the housekeeping top notch. Breakfasts on the roof were a highlight - ordered the day before with a wide selection of options. The variety of home made jams and preserves was amazing and delicious. The location was ideal and very easy walking to just about any part of town - about 20 mintues to the train or bus stations. All in all, an excellent B&B and I would be happy to stay there again.
