This is the first time i encounter such problem. I have paid for Valley Wing Shangri-La in Sept 2022 for this room. Upon check in i was told the booking was not found. The kind front desk lady Frances went all the way to call Trip.com for me and even asked the manager to help to speak to Trip.com while getting me a drink at the lounge. I really appreciate the help by her and the staff in Shangri-la. Ended up, i was being booked in the tower wing . Luckily Trip.com staff called me and compensated me with the coins but honestly, the damage was done. My waiting time and it was supposed to be a belated anniversary celebration with my guy in Valley Wing. I really hoped this would be the last time such incident happened. As for Valley Wing room, it was spacious and the perks are the afternoon tea, evening canapes and premium breakfast in their Summit room. It was great based on my last few stays there. Of course this time round i did not get to enjoy all that thanks to Trip.com.
